Scrub Island is one of the British Virgin Islands (Lesser Antilles). The island is located approx 119 km (74 mi) east of Puerto Rico, approx 45 km (28 mi) northeast of St Thomas (USVI) and approx 3 km (2 mi) north of Trellis Bay (Scrub Island Marina).
Scrub Island is best known for its Resort Marina and Spa. This premium Resort, Spa and Marina complex is private and was built in 2010. Scrub Island features protected coves, nature trails, and is car-free (for transportation are used resort shuttles). The island is usually accessed from San Juan (Puerto Rico) via charter flights to Tortola. Scrub Island is at the 7-min ride from Tortola via the resort’s shuttles. Other options are flights to St Thomas and a 45-min ferry ride to Tortola.
