Yaqeta Island is one of Fiji Islands - a country in Southern Pacific Ocean, located approx 2000 km (1250 mi) northeast of New Zealand. As all Fijian islands, Yaqeta, with its calm turquoise waters and splendid white beaches is ranked among best destinations for diving, eco-tourism and weddings.
Currently, one inter-island ferry route (Navutu Stars Denarau) is operated by regularly scheduled ferries connecting Yaqeta Island with Yasawa and Matacawalevu. The service is operated by the company Awesome Adventures Fiji with daily trips (7 crossings weekly) between Navutu Stars Resort and Long Beach Resort (Yasawa Island) and Waitui Basecamp (Matacawa Levu Island). Ferry travel time is around 4 hours.
On Yaqeta Island are provided only non-motorized activities - mainly snorkeling, seakayaking, canoeing. Cruise ship passengers can participate in eco-sustainable resort programs, including coral reef restoration projects.
