Celebrity Apex deck plans
Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities
Celebrity Apex deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2025-2026-2027 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Celebrity Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the Celebrity Apex cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Celebrity Apex staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
Celebrity Apex (2020-built / 2021-inaugurated, scheduled for refurbishment in March-April 2025) is the second of five EDGE-class Celebrity Cruises ships, following sisterships Celebrity Edge (2018), Celebrity Beyond (2022), Celebrity Ascent (2023), and Celebrity Xcel (2025).
Celebrity Apex deck plans show a total of 1,467 staterooms for 2,918 passengers (maximum capacity 3,521), served by 1,320 crew (726 crew cabins). Of all staterooms, 81% are Balcony, 10% Oceanview, and 9% Inside. There are 1,305 cabins with triple and quad occupancy, 178 connecting cabins, and 25 wheelchair-accessible cabins.
The ship has 15 decks, of which 14 are passenger-accessible and 10 contain cabins.
The new "Infinite Veranda" cabins are 23% larger, with bathrooms 10% larger compared to Solstice-class balcony cabins. In-cabin automation allows guests to control virtually everything—lighting, window shades, temperature, media, and room service—via touchscreen.
Other Celebrity Apex deck plan features include:
- A 2-level Atrium stairway overlooking a terrace with a 3-ft (1 m) deep plunge pool.
- Pool Deck 14 (midship) is a resort-style outdoor area with a lap pool, sea-facing chaise loungers, a large LED screen, and six cabanas. At night, it transforms into a party zone with live music and movies.
- On Pool Deck 14, six spacious cabanas are available for rent, all located on the starboard side. They feature high ceilings, plush seating, and panoramic ocean views.
- Rooftop Garden, located on Deck 15, is a modern outdoor lounge filled with live greenery, exotic lighting, comfortable seating, and a large LED screen for evening movies. At night, it becomes a reservations-only lounge with live music, dinner pairings, and films.
- Retreat Lounge (details TBA).
- "Luminae at The Retreat" is a two-level specialty restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows and a menu crafted by Michelin-starred Chef Cornelius Gallagher.
- Retreat Sundeck is the ship’s adults-only outdoor area.
- The Solarium is another age-restricted, adults-only relaxation area.
- The pool deck features one lap pool (23 m / 75 ft), two whirlpools (hot tubs), and a two-deck Walking-Jogging Track (400 m / 1,320 ft long).
- Celebrity Apex offers “frictionless arrival” check-in via geo-fenced beacons and facial recognition. Guests can access their staterooms using their smartphones through the Celebrity "Virtual Concierge" app. All stateroom functions—lighting, climate, window curtains, alarm clock, and media—are controllable via a touchscreen panel.
- The "Virtual Concierge" app also allows guests to make reservations (dining, spa, classes) and order in-room services (food, drinks, laundry). The app features a digital map that uses smartphone sensors for improved navigation.
- The ship has 12 elevators and 4 stairway clusters for passenger movement.
Magic Carpet ("Outdoor Elevator Lounge")
A unique feature aboard Celebrity Apex is the Magic Carpet—a cantilevered, glass-roofed platform the size of a tennis court that travels vertically across 14 decks. Mounted on the starboard side, the open-air venue offers panoramic ocean views, comfortable seating, a full bar, and a stage for live performances. The "traveling lounge" changes function and location, moving between Decks 2 and 16.
Passengers cannot use the Magic Carpet as a moving elevator. It is safely locked in place before guests are allowed to board. No passengers are onboard during repositioning, and some furniture is fixed in place.
The Magic Carpet’s function changes depending on which deck it is stationed:
- Deck 16: Transforms into a specialty restaurant for “Dinner on the Edge”—al fresco dining under the stars.
- Deck 14 (Resort Deck): Acts as an extension of the pool area, offering live music performances.
- Deck 5 (Dining Deck): Serves as an outdoor dining area adjacent to the main dining room.
- Deck 2 (Tendering Deck): Becomes part of the Destination Gateway, the embarkation hub for tender operations. This area supports “Edge Launches”—luxury tenders for smooth disembarkation in all ports. It includes large LCD screens displaying port and itinerary details, air-conditioning, and seating for 130 guests.
"Destination Gateway" serves as the main embarkation area when the Magic Carpet is positioned at its lowest level (Deck 2).
The daily repositioning schedule for the Magic Carpet is published onboard.
