In March 2026, the CDC reported that on voyage 4611 (March 7-14), a Norovirus outbreak affected 104 passengers (out of 4307, or 2,4%) and 49 crew (out of 1561, or 3,1%).

The predominant symptoms were vomiting and diarrhea.

The ship was on a 7-day "Western Caribbean with Mexico Cruise" (itinerary March 7-14, roundtrip from Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale, Florida) visiting Honduras (Roatan Island), Belize City, and Cozumel.

20 January 2025Crew / Passenger Crimes

On January 20, 2025, at ~8:20 AM Italy time (~7:20 UTC), a 28-year-old worker was injured in an altercation onboard the ship being under construction at Fincantieri Monfalcone.

The man (from Bangladesh) was employed as a plumber by a contractor. He was attacked with a 10-centimeter fruit knife by a 24-year-old colleague, also a Bangladeshi national. The victim suffered non-serious injuries (minor cuts to his arms, legs, and buttocks) and was ambulanced to Ospedale San Polo (hospital) for treatment.

The alleged assailant was apprehended by local police on charges of aggravated assault. Initial reports suggested the dispute stemmed from a personal disagreement.

The shipbuilder Fincantieri officially released a statement condemning the incident and affirming its commitment to monitor the situation closely.
