American Independence cabins review

Follows the review of MS Independence ship cabins, including amenities, furnishings, and complimentary services:

All staterooms are furnished with hotel-style beds (king or two twins, size 200 x 160 cm) with under-bed storage for suitcases, bedside tables with lamps, a wardrobe/closet, and a dresser with drawers. Additional features include individual climate control and a medical emergency button.

Each cabin includes a private, hotel-style, full-size bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and Judith Jackson premium bath amenities (shampoo, body wash, conditioner, moisturizer, mouthwash, facial bar, bath soaps, and a vanity kit). In-room amenities also feature a smart HDTV (with local/satellite reception), DVD player, onboard-use phone, coffee maker, digital clock/alarm, a seating area (small table with one or two swivel chairs), and a mirrored vanity/writing desk.

Window cabins are equipped with slide-opening picture windows. Balcony cabins feature slide-opening glass doors that lead to a private veranda, each furnished with a small table and two chairs.

Complimentary services include shipwide Wi-Fi Internet access and several Internet computers located throughout the vessel. Also included at no extra charge are alcoholic beverages (beer and wine at lunch and dinner), unlimited non-alcoholic drinks (soda, water, juice, coffee, tea), snacks, and room service. American Cruise Lines fares do not cover gratuities, shore excursions/tours, or port fees.

MS Independence features one wheelchair-accessible cabin for disabled passengers in category AAL, conveniently located on Deck 2 (Lounge Deck) near the elevator.

The ship also offers seven single cabins for solo travelers, available at single-occupancy rates with no single supplement.
