Carnival Panorama cabins review

Carnival Panorama cruise ship features a total of 42 wheelchair-accessible cabins and 104 "Cloud 9 Spa" staterooms (28 Inside, 8 Oceanview, 62 Balcony, 6 Suite). The ship offers 53 different cabin categories.

Connecting staterooms ("family cabins") are available on decks 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11. Categories with connecting options include Balcony (8A, 8B, 8C, 8D, 8F, 8G), Cove Balcony (7C, FM-Family), Oceanview (6A, 6L, 6M, FE-Family), and Interior (4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E, 4F, FA-Family). The 42 handicap-accessible cabins are distributed across categories: Ocean Suite (1), Balcony (4), Oceanview (13), and Interior (24).

Below is a review of Carnival Panorama staterooms in terms of amenities, furnishings, and complimentary services:

Carnival Panorama Suites (Grand, Ocean, Havana Cabana, Family Harbor Cove, Cloud 9 Spa) feature two twin beds (convertible to a king-size bed with pillow menu), dressing area (walk-in closet, vanity table, chair), private bathroom (toilet, shower, bathtub, bidet, double sinks, bathrobes), double sofabed, and a step-out balcony (with padded chairs and a low table). All balcony cabins include a private terrace with sliding glass doors and a clear-glass railing.

All Cloud 9 Spa cabins offer exclusive access to the spa facilities on Panorama Deck 11. Spa categories include Spa Suite (SS), Spa Balcony (8S, 8P, 8T), Spa Oceanview with obstructed views (6S, 6T), and Spa Inside (4S, 4T). Perks for two guests per cabin include complimentary access to the Thermal Suite and Spa Whirlpool, two fitness classes (Yoga or Pilates), two metabolism tests, one Scrub Kit (for the Thermal Suite), bathrobes, slippers, deluxe bath amenities by Elemis (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, hand and body soap), and priority spa reservations (must be made by 6 pm on embarkation day). Spa treatment discounts are available while docked in port—20% off the first, 30% off the second, and 40% off the third treatment.

Premium Vista Balcony cabins, located on the ship’s aft corners, offer wraparound balconies and suite-level amenities. Extended Balcony cabins come in categories 8N and 8M, both aft-located, with 50% larger balconies, three closets, and a full bathroom with a shower.

Oceanview staterooms have picture windows and twin beds that cannot convert to a king when upper Pullman beds are in use. Some feature sofas and/or upper Pullmans to accommodate a third or fourth guest. Spa Oceanview rooms have obstructed views and may include an upper Pullman bed for a fourth guest.

Inside cabins with windows feature either a Porthole Window (PT on decks 1 and 2) or a Picture Window (4J on decks 6, 7, 9, and 10-Lido). Some Porthole cabins have a sofa bed for a third person, and some Picture Window rooms include a sofa and/or upper Pullman beds for third/fourth guests. Smaller Inside cabins feature bunk beds (upper/lower Pullman), a living area with a vanity and chair, and a bathroom with a shower.

Family Harbor cabins (FS-Suites, FM-Cove Balcony, FJ-Deluxe Oceanview, FE-Oceanview, FA-Interior) are designed with larger living spaces and sleep up to five guests using double sofabeds and bunk beds. These staterooms are located near the Family Harbor Lounge—an exclusive family complex offering 24-hour dining, concierge service, board/video games, and movies. Kids in Family Harbor cabins enjoy complimentary specialty dining (with a paying adult) and one free Night Owls babysitting session (up to 3 hours). The Lounge provides self-serve breakfast (6:30–9:30 am port days / 7:30–10:30 am sea days), afternoon snacks (3–5 pm), evening cookies and milk (9–11 pm), and 24-hour ice cream and frozen yogurt stations.

Havana staterooms and suites are marketed as “private island resort” accommodations and are located near the Havana complex (pool, bar, lounge). Havana Cabana Suites feature rain showers and deluxe hammocks on their terraces. These rooms can only be booked by families with children aged 12 or older. Amenities include a step-out patio (with two deckchairs and a low table), reserved Lanai sundeck access (with two loungers), and exclusive entry to the Havana complex. Havana categories include Interior, Balcony, Premium Vista Balcony, Premium Balcony, Aft-View Extended Balcony, and Suite.

All staterooms include standard amenities: living area (vanity, seating), smart HDTV (infotainment system, internet, movies on demand, bookings, room service), direct-dial phone, electronic safe, hairdryer, en-suite bathroom (toilet, shower, single-sink vanity, bathrobes, replenishable amenities basket), Carnival Comfort beds, beach towels, mini-bar/fridge, individual A/C, and 24-hour complimentary room service. Gideon Bibles are available upon request.

USB charging ports (5V/1000 mA) and power outlets are located above the vanity desk (not near the beds). Each stateroom has two 120V US outlets and one 220V European outlet. The bathroom contains a single outlet for electric razors. Guests may bring their own power strips, extension cords (non-surge protected), AC adapters, and multi-socket boxes.

The Carnival Sail & Sign card serves as both stateroom key and onboard credit account. It is used for all onboard purchases, with cash accepted only in the casino. Each guest, including minors, receives a card upon boarding. Balances can be checked via the interactive TV or at Guest Services.

The interactive TV system supports movie purchases (approx. 25 films at $5 each; adult content at $10), room service orders, and account management. Depending on satellite coverage, available free TV channels include major US networks (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CNN), TCM, Cartoon Network, TNT, TBS, two movie channels (PG-13 and family-friendly films), and Carnival-exclusive content (Fun Finds TV, Cruise Director, Fun Aboard, etc.). Live sports (ESPN, ESPN 2) are shown only at the Sports Bar and Seaside Theatre. All TV ports are disabled, preventing external device connections.

Bathroom amenities vary, so guests are advised to bring their own. Complimentary items may include toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, lotion, razors, and antacids. Showers feature wall-mounted dispensers with liquid soap and shampoo. Power outlets are in the vanity area: one 110V US outlet and one 220V European outlet. Bathrooms have a 2-pin outlet for electric razors only.

Carnival’s custom-made beds include "New Generation" cotton pillows, hypoallergenic duvets, deluxe cotton sheets, 8-inch spring mattresses ("Carnival Comfort"). Non-allergenic alternatives are also available, featuring polyester bedding and the same pillows. Trundle beds do not use Carnival Comfort mattresses.

Logoed beach towels are available in all cabins and may be purchased for $22. Bathrobes (2) are included in all suites and Cloud 9 Spa accommodations. Additional robes are provided upon request during turndown service. Robes can be purchased for $49 (adults) and $24 (children sizes).

Life jackets are for emergency use only (not poolside use) and are stored in each cabin closet. Available sizes are adult, child, and infant.

Safes are located in closets and measure approximately 10"x9"x8" (25x23x20 cm). Access is via magnetic strip card (recommended: expired or non-sensitive cards). Some safes use a keypad code. Ship security can open safes if necessary.

Mini-bars are stocked with premium liquor ($6–$9.25), beer ($6.25), energy drinks ($5), soft drinks ($2), and bottled water ($3.75). In-cabin babysitting is not offered. Cribs are available on request. High chairs and booster seats are provided in Main Dining Rooms.

Smoking is prohibited in all cabins and on balconies. Designated smoking areas include the Casino (specific areas), Vista Bar (deck 4), and an outdoor zone on Deck 11 starboard (aft).

Funville@Sea is Carnival’s free intranet system, offering information on daily activities, restaurant and bar menus, deck plans, news, weather, tour guides, and onboard messaging. It’s accessible via cabin infotainment TVs and FunHub stations.

Daily gratuities are USD 12.95 per person for standard cabins and USD 13.95 for suites. Suite guests receive additional perks, including priority embarkation/debarkation/tendering, main dining reservations, complimentary bottled water and laundry (one bag per cruise), and enhanced turndown service.

Since 2017, guests can customize steward service—morning, evening, or both—and select extra amenities such as bathrobes, pillows, blankets, and how often linens are changed. Preferences are indicated on a services card in the stateroom. If no selection is made, service defaults to twice daily.
