Carnival Vista cruise ship features a total of 42 wheelchair-accessible cabins (for guests with disabilities) and 104 "Cloud 9 Spa" cabins, including 28 Inside, 8 Oceanview, 62 Balcony, and 6 Suites. The ship offers 53 different cabin categories.
Connecting staterooms ("family cabins") are available on decks 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11. These include Balcony (8A, 8B, 8C, 8D, 8F, 8G), Cove Balcony (7C, FM-Family), Oceanview (6A, 6L, 6M, FE-Family), and Interior (4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E, 4F, FA-Family) categories. The 42 accessible staterooms are distributed among OS-Ocean Suite (1), Balcony (4), Oceanview (13), and Interior (24) categories.
Below is a detailed review of Carnival Vista staterooms, including amenities, furnishings, and complimentary services:
Carnival Vista Suites (Grand, Ocean, Havana Cabana, Family Harbor Cove, Cloud 9 Spa) include two twin beds that convert to a king-size bed (Carnival Comfort Bed system with pillow menu), a dressing area (walk-in closet, vanity table, chair), a private bathroom (toilet, shower, bathtub, bidet, double sinks, bathrobes), a double sofabed, and a step-out terrace with padded patio chairs and low tables. All balcony accommodations feature a private balcony with sliding glass doors, a table, patio chairs, and a railing with a clear glass panel.
Cloud 9 Spa cabins offer exclusive access to spa facilities on Panorama Deck 11. Categories include Spa Suite (SS), Spa Balcony (8S, 8P, 8T), Spa Oceanview with obstructed views (6S, 6T), and Spa Inside (4S, 4T). Complimentary amenities and services (for up to two guests per stateroom) include unlimited access to the Thermal Suite and Spa Whirlpool, two complimentary fitness classes (Yoga or Pilates), two metabolism tests, one Scrub Kit (for the Thermal Suite), bathrobes, slippers, deluxe Elemis bath amenities (shampoo, conditioner, sharp shower gel, vitamin-rich body lotion, hand and body soap disks), and priority spa reservations (by 6 pm on embarkation day). Guests also receive spa treatment discounts while in port: 20% off the first treatment, 30% off the second, and 40% off the third.
Premium Vista Balcony cabins are located at the aft corners of the ship and feature suite-level amenities, including a wraparound balcony. Extended Balcony cabins are offered in two grades: 8N and 8M, both located aft. These rooms feature 50% larger balconies, three closets, and a full bathroom with shower.
Oceanview cabins include a picture window. Twin beds do not convert to a king when both upper beds are in use. Some have a sofa and/or upper Pullman beds for a third or fourth guest. Spa Oceanview rooms have obstructed views and may include an upper Pullman bed for a fourth guest.
Inside cabins with windows include Porthole Window cabins (PT) on decks 1 and 2, and Picture Window cabins (4J) on decks 6, 7, 9, and 10 (Lido Deck). Some Porthole cabins have a sofa bed for a third guest, while Picture Window cabins may have a sofa and/or upper Pullman beds for third and fourth guests. Small Inside cabins have bunk beds (upper/lower Pullman), a living area (vanity, chair), and a bathroom with a shower.
Family Harbor staterooms are available in FS-Suites, FM-Cove Balcony, FJ-Deluxe Oceanview, FE-Oceanview, and FA-Interior categories. These larger staterooms accommodate up to five guests with double sofabeds and additional bunk beds. All are located near the Family Harbor Lounge, which features 24-hour dining, concierge service, board and video games, and movies. Children enjoy complimentary specialty dining (when accompanied by a paying adult) and one free Night Owls babysitting session (up to 3 hours per cruise). Family Harbor offers self-serve breakfast (6:30–9:30 am on port days, 7:30–10:30 am on sea days), afternoon snacks (3–5 pm), and evening snacks (9–11 pm). Ice cream and frozen yogurt are available 24/7.
Havana staterooms and suites, located near the Havana complex (pool, bar, club lounge), are marketed as “private island resort” accommodations. Havana Cabana Suites feature a rain shower and a hammock on the terrace. These cabins can be booked only by guests aged 12 and older. Amenities include a step-out terrace with patio furniture, access to a reserved Lanai sundeck area (with padded loungers), and exclusive access to the Havana complex. Cabin types include Interior, Balcony, Premium Vista Balcony, Premium Balcony, Aft-View Extended Balcony, and Suites.
All Carnival Vista staterooms offer standard amenities, including a living area (vanity, seating), smart HDTV (with infotainment, internet, on-demand movies, reservations, room service), direct-dial phone, electronic safe (in closet), lifejackets, hairdryer, en-suite bathroom (toilet, shower, single sink, bathrobes, amenity basket replenished on request), Carnival Comfort Beds, beach towels, mini-bar/fridge, individual air-conditioning, and 24-hour complimentary room service. Bibles (Gideon version) are available upon request.
USB outlets are located above the vanity desk and not near the beds. Each cabin has three power outlets: two 120V (US standard, 3-prong) and one 220V (European standard). USB ports are 5V (1000 mA). A single power outlet is in the bathroom, intended for electric razors only. Guests may bring power strips, extension cords (without surge protectors), AC adapters, and multi-plug boxes.
The Carnival Sail & Sign card functions as a cashless onboard credit account and a stateroom key. All onboard purchases and gratuities are charged to the account, with cash accepted only in the casino. Cards are issued to all guests (including minors) at boarding. Account balances can be checked at Guest Services or through the interactive TV system.
The in-cabin TV system allows guests to purchase movies on demand, order room service, and check their Sail & Sign account. About 25 movies are available (USD 5 each, adult-content movies USD 10). Complimentary programming includes ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CNN (Domestic, International, Español), TCM, cartoons (Boomerang, Cartoon Network), TNT, TBS, and two movie channels showing PG-13 and G/PG-rated films every three hours from 12 noon. Carnival-themed channels include Fun Finds TV, Cruise Director, Fun Aboard, Park West Art, Shore Tours, Ship Position, live webcams (forward, Lido Deck), Audible Funtimes, Photo, and Music. ESPN channels are available only at the Sports Bar and Seaside Theatre. TV ports are disabled, preventing connection to personal devices.
Bathroom amenities may vary; it's recommended to bring personal items. Samples may include toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, lotion, razor, and antacids. Showers have wall-mounted dispensers for liquid soap and shampoo. The bathroom’s 2-pin outlet supports electric razors only. Desk/vanity outlets include one 110V (US) and one 220V (European).
Carnival Comfort beds are European-made exclusively for Carnival and include New Generation Pillows (100% cotton), hypoallergenic duvets, high-quality cotton sheets, and 8-inch spring mattresses. Non-allergenic alternatives are available and include polyester bedding. Note: Trundle beds do not feature Carnival Comfort mattresses.
Carnival-logo beach towels are provided in each cabin for shore use and are available for purchase ($22). Bathrobes are provided in suites and Cloud 9 Spa cabins. In all other accommodations, bathrobes are available upon request during the first evening turndown service. Purchase prices: $49 (adult), $24 (children ages 2–4 and 6–8).
Lifejackets are for emergency use only (not pool use) and are stored in cabin closets. They are available in adult, child, and infant sizes.
Cabin safes are located in closets and measure approximately 10x9x8 inches (25x23x20 cm). They can be accessed using any magnetic strip card, though it's recommended to use an expired or non-essential card rather than a valid credit card or ID. Some safes use keypads. Ship security can also open the safes.
Mini-bars in all cabins and suites are stocked with premium liquors ($6–9.25), beer ($6.25), energy drinks ($5), sodas ($2), and bottled water ($3.75). In-cabin babysitting is not available. Complimentary cribs are available upon request. High chairs and booster seats are provided in the Main Dining Rooms.
Smoking is prohibited in all cabins and balconies. Designated smoking areas include the Casino (specific zones) and Vista Bar (Deck 4 lobby bar). Outdoor smoking (including cigars and pipes) is permitted only in the designated starboard area on Deck 11 (aft).
Funville@Sea is a free intranet service offering onboard activity schedules, bar and restaurant menus, deck plans, Fun Times newspaper, shore excursion guides, itinerary-related weather, and a shipboard social network. Access is available via in-cabin infotainment and FunHub stations throughout the ship.
Current gratuities per person per day are USD 12.95 for standard cabin guests and USD 13.95 for suite guests. Suite benefits include priority embarkation/debarkation/tendering, priority dining reservations, complimentary bottled water, one free laundry bag per cruise, and enhanced turndown service.
Since 2017, Carnival allows guests to customize stateroom steward service by choosing morning, evening, or both. Additional amenities like bathrobes, extra pillows, blankets, and hangers can be requested. Guests can also select how often linens are changed using a service menu card placed in each stateroom. If no preference is indicated, rooms will be serviced twice daily by default.
