Carnival Glory cabins review

The Carnival cruise ship Glory has a total of 28 wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers) and 18 Spa cabins (all with balconies). There are 34 total cabin categories available.

Connecting rooms ("family cabins") are located on decks 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11. The list of connecting cabin grades includes 2 beds (4E), 3 beds (PT), 2-3 beds (8B), 2-4 beds (6J - Scenic Oceanview), 2-3-4 beds (6A, 6B, 6C, 8C, 8D), and 4 beds (8F - Spa Balcony). The 28 accessible staterooms are in categories OS - Ocean Suite (1), Balcony (2), and Interior (25).

Below is a review of Carnival Glory's staterooms, covering amenities, furnishings, and complimentary services:

Each of the two Captain’s Suites features a master bedroom (2 twin beds convertible to a king, Pullman bed), dressing area (vanity, large walk-in closet), a large bathroom, separate living room (double sofa bed, coffee table, desk, armchairs), a second bathroom (with shower), refrigerator, and mini-bar.

Carnival Glory's suites (Captain's, Grand, Ocean) include king beds, a living room (with walk-in closet, desk, vanity table, chair, drawers, and double sofa bed), and a private bathroom (WC, shower, whirlpool bathtub, and double sinks).

Premium Balcony (9B, 9C) and Extended Balcony cabins (8N, 8M) offer twin beds convertible to a queen, ample closet/storage space, bathroom with shower, and a living area. Some “C” grade staterooms include a sofa bed for a third guest. These rooms feature 50% larger balconies, three closets, and a full bathroom. All balcony accommodations include a private step-out balcony with sliding glass doors, table, and patio chairs.

Guests booked in Spa cabins (category 8F / Balcony) enjoy exclusive perks (for two guests per cabin): unlimited access to Spa Carnival facilities, two fitness classes (Yoga or Pilates), two metabolism tests, bathrobes, slippers, deluxe in-room bath amenities by Elemis (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, vitamin-rich body lotion, hand and body soap discs), priority Spa reservations (appointments must be made by 6 pm on embarkation day), and discounted spa treatments on port days (20% off first treatment, 30% off second, 40% off third).

Scenic Oceanview cabins have floor-to-ceiling slanted windows, two twin beds (convertible to king), a living area (sofa, coffee table, chairs), and in some cases, a sofa bed for a third or fourth guest. Oceanview cabins include a large picture window and the same convertible beds and living area setup, with some offering additional sleeping arrangements (sofa and/or Pullman beds).

Inside cabins with windows include category 4J (Obstructed View) with a picture window, and PT with a porthole window. Some 4J rooms feature a Pullman bed for a third guest or twin beds that are not convertible. PT category rooms may include a sofa bed or Pullman beds for additional guests. Small Inside cabins come with bunk beds (upper/lower Pullman beds), a living area, and a bathroom with a shower.

All Carnival Glory staterooms provide standard complimentary amenities, including a living area (vanity and seating), smart HDTV (infotainment system with Internet, on-demand movies, bookings, and room service ordering), direct-dial phone, electronic safe, lifejackets (in the closet), hairdryer, en-suite bathroom (WC, shower, single sink vanity, bathrobes, bathroom amenity basket replenished upon request), Carnival Comfort Bed System (custom-made beds), beach towels, mini-bar/fridge, individual air-conditioning, and 24-hour room service. Gideon Bibles are available upon request.

Bathroom amenities may vary, so it’s recommended to bring personal toiletries. Samples may include toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, body lotion, razor, and antacids. Showers have a wall-mounted dispenser for liquid soap and shampoo. Power outlets are located at the desk/vanity—one 110V (USA grounded, 3-pronged) and one 220V (European standard). The bathroom's 2-pin plug is only for electric razors.

The ship’s interactive TV system allows guests to purchase on-demand movies, order room service, and check the Sail & Sign account status. On-demand movies cost approximately $5 each, with adult-content films priced at $10. Depending on satellite coverage, complimentary TV programming includes ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CNN (Domestic, International, Español), TCM, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, TNT, and TBS. Two movie channels show PG-13 and G/PG-rated films on a loop every 3 hours. Carnival-themed channels include Fun Finds TV, Cruise Director, Fun Aboard, Park West Art, Shore Tours, Ship Position, live webcams (forward and Lido deck), Audible Funtimes, Photo, and Music. Sporting events (ESPN, ESPN2) are only available at the Sports Bar and Seaside Theatre. All TV connection ports are disabled, so personal devices cannot be connected.

The new Carnival beds are European-made and include custom “New Generation” pillows (100% cotton), hypoallergenic duvets (satin-striped), covers, deluxe cotton sheets, satin-striped pillowcases, and 8-inch spring mattresses (“Carnival Comfort”). Non-allergenic bedding (100% polyester blankets, 60/40 cotton-polyester sheets and pillowcases) and cotton pillows are also available. Trundle beds do not feature Carnival Comfort mattresses.

The Sail & Sign card (cashless onboard credit account) also serves as a stateroom key. It enables guests to charge all purchases and gratuities onboard. The card is issued to all passengers, including minors, upon boarding and is required for all transactions, except in the casino where cash is accepted. Guests can check balances at the Guest Services desk or via their in-room TV.

Carnival-logo beach towels are provided in every cabin for use ashore. Additional towels can be purchased for $22. Bathrobes (two) are included in all suites and Spa cabins. In other cabins, they are provided upon request during turndown service on the first evening. Bathrobes can be purchased for $49 (adult size) and $24 (children’s sizes: 2-4 and 6-8 years old).

Lifejackets are intended for emergency use only and are stored in the cabin closets. They are available in adult, child, and infant sizes.

Each cabin has a safe (in the closet) with approximate dimensions: width 10 in / 25 cm, height 9 in / 23 cm, depth 8 in / 20 cm. Safes can be accessed using any magnetic strip card. It’s recommended to use an expired or rewards card rather than a valid credit card or ID. Some safes use a personal keypad code. Safes can also be opened by ship security if needed.

In-cabin mini-bars are stocked with premium liquors ($6–9.25), beer ($6.25), energy drinks ($5), soft drinks ($2), and bottled water ($3.75).

In-cabin babysitting is not available (see Camp Ocean for kids’ services). Complimentary cribs are provided upon request. High chairs and booster seats are available in the Main Dining Rooms.

Smoking is prohibited in all cabins, suites, and their balconies. Designated smoking areas include the 70’s Nightclub (not on the dance floor), Casino (in marked sections), and Casino Bar. Outdoor smoking areas for cigarettes, cigars, and pipes are on Deck 3 portside (forward) and Deck 11 portside.

Funville@Sea is a free onboard intranet service providing daily activity schedules, bar and restaurant menus, deck maps, the Fun Times newsletter, shore excursion guides, cruise news, weather updates, and a social network for passenger messaging. It is accessible via the infotainment system in cabins and at FunHub stations around the ship.

Daily gratuities are USD 12.95 per person for standard cabins and USD 13.95 for suite guests. Suite perks include priority embarkation/debarkation/tendering, priority dining room reservations, complimentary bottled water, one bag of laundry per cruise, and enhanced turndown service.

Since 2017, Carnival allows guests to customize their steward service by choosing morning, evening, or twice-daily cleaning. Additional amenities like bathrobes, extra pillows, blankets, and hangers can be requested. Guests may also indicate how frequently they’d like bed linens changed by filling out a preferences card provided in each stateroom. If no preference is selected, service defaults to twice daily.

For detailed furniture layouts, refer to the Carnival Glory cabin plans in the above table.
