Carnival Conquest cabins review

The Carnival cruise ship Conquest has a total of 25 wheelchair-accessible staterooms (for disabled passengers) and 18 Spa cabins (all with balconies). There are 27 total cabin categories onboard.

Connecting rooms ("family cabins") are located on decks 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11. Connecting cabin categories include 2 beds (4E), 3 beds (PT), 2-3 beds (8B), 2-4 beds (6J - Scenic Oceanview), 2-3-4 beds (6A, 6B, 6C, 8C, 8D), and 4 beds (8F - Spa Balcony). The 25 accessible staterooms are categorized as OS - Ocean Suite (1), Balcony (2), Oceanview (7), and Interior (15).

Below is a review of Carnival Conquest staterooms in terms of amenities, furniture, and complimentary services:

Each of the two Captain’s Suites includes a master bedroom (two twin beds convertible to a king, Pullman bed), dressing area (vanity, large walk-in closet), a large bathroom, a separate living room (double sofa bed, coffee table, desk, armchairs), a second bathroom (shower), fridge, and mini-bar.

Carnival Conquest Suites (Captain's, Grand, Ocean) include king beds, a living room (walk-in closet, desk, vanity table, chair, drawers, double sofa bed), and a private bathroom (toilet, shower, whirlpool bathtub, double sinks).

Premium Balcony (9B, 9C) and Extended Balcony cabins (8N, 8M) feature twin beds convertible to queen, ample closet and storage space, bathroom (shower), and a living area. Some of these staterooms have an additional sofa bed for a third guest. They offer 50% larger balconies, three closets, a full bathroom, and a private step-out balcony with sliding glass doors (table and patio chairs).

Guests in Spa cabins (category 8F - Balcony) enjoy complimentary perks for two guests per stateroom, including unlimited access to all Spa Carnival facilities, two fitness classes (Yoga or Pilates), two metabolism tests, bathrobes, slippers, deluxe in-room bath amenities by Elemis (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, vitamin-rich body lotion, hand and body soap disks), priority Spa reservations (appointments must be made by 6 pm on embarkation day), and spa treatment discounts on port days (20% off first treatment, 30% off second, 40% off third).

Scenic Oceanview cabins feature floor-to-ceiling slanted windows, twin beds (convertible to king), and a living area (sofa, coffee table, chairs). Some include a sofa bed for a third or fourth guest. Standard Oceanview cabins include a large picture window, convertible twin beds, and a living area. Select cabins also offer a sofa or upper Pullman beds for extra guests.

Inside cabins with windows (category 4J - Obstructed View) have a picture window, while category PT has a porthole window. Some 4J cabins feature an upper bunk bed for a third guest or non-convertible twin beds. PT cabins may include a sofa bed or upper Pullman beds for additional guests. Small inside cabins have bunk beds (upper/lower), a living area, and a bathroom with a shower.

All Carnival Conquest staterooms include complimentary standard amenities: living area (vanity, seating), smart HDTV (infotainment system, Internet, on-demand movies, reservations, room service ordering), direct-dial phone, electronic safe, life jackets (in closet), hairdryer, en-suite bathroom (toilet, shower, single-sink vanity, bathrobes, amenity basket—replenished upon request), Carnival Comfort Bed System, beach towels, mini-bar/fridge, individual air-conditioning, and 24-hour room service. Bibles (Gideon version) are available upon request.

Bathroom amenities vary, so it's recommended to bring your own. Samples may include toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, body lotion, razors, and antacids. A wall-mounted dispenser in the shower provides liquid soap and shampoo. Power outlets are located at the desk/vanity area—one 110V (US) and one 220V (European). The bathroom's 2-pin plug is suitable only for electric razors.

The ship’s interactive TV system allows guests to order room service, purchase on-demand movies, and check their Sail & Sign account. Approximately 25 movies are available (USD 5 each); adult content is USD 10. Depending on satellite reception, free in-cabin channels include ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CNN (Domestic, International, Español), TCM, Boomerang, CN, TNT, TBS, and two movie channels (PG-13 and family-friendly films). Carnival-themed channels include Fun Finds TV, Cruise Director, Fun Aboard, Park West Art, Shore Tours, Ship Position, webcams, Audible Funtimes, Photo, and Music. ESPN and ESPN2 are available only at the Sports Bar and Seaside Theatre. All TV ports are disabled, so personal devices cannot be connected.

The Carnival Comfort Bed System includes custom New Generation Pillows (100% cotton), hypoallergenic satin-striped duvet and pillowcases, deluxe cotton sheets, and 8-inch spring mattresses. Alternative hypoallergenic bedding is available upon request. Trundle beds do not use Carnival Comfort mattresses.

The Sail & Sign card is both a stateroom key and cashless onboard credit account. It is used for all purchases and gratuities on board (except at the casino, where cash is accepted). Cards are issued to all guests at boarding and balance updates are available at Guest Services or via in-room smart TVs.

Carnival-logoed beach towels are provided in each stateroom and may be taken ashore. They can be purchased for $22. Two bathrobes are included in suites and Spa cabins; additional robes are available upon request. For other cabins, bathrobes are provided on request during the first evening turndown service. Robes may be purchased for $49 (adults) or $24 (children).

Life jackets are for emergency use only and are stored in each cabin’s closet. They are available in adult, child, and infant sizes.

Cabin safes, located in closets, measure approximately 10 x 9 x 8 inches (25 x 23 x 20 cm) and can be accessed using any magnetic strip card. It is advised to use an expired card rather than a current credit card. Some safes use a keypad. All safes can be accessed by ship security.

Mini-bars in all cabins and suites are stocked with premium liquors ($6–9.25), beer ($6.25), energy drinks ($5), soft drinks ($2), and bottled water ($3.75).

In-cabin babysitting is not available (see Camp Ocean for childcare services). Cribs are provided upon request. Complimentary high chairs and booster seats are available in the main dining rooms.

Smoking is prohibited in all cabins, suites, and balconies. Designated smoking areas (including e-cigarettes) are: 70’s Nightclub (excluding dance floor), Casino (designated zones), Casino Bar, and outdoor areas on Deck 3 portside (forward) and Deck 11 portside (cigars and pipes allowed).

Funville@Sea is a free intranet service offering schedules, menus, deck maps, the Fun Times newspaper, shore excursion guides, cruise news, weather updates, and an onboard social network. It is accessible via in-room infotainment systems and FunHub stations.

Daily gratuities are USD 12.95 per person (standard cabins) and USD 13.95 (suites). Suite perks include priority embarkation/debarkation/tendering, main dining room reservations, complimentary bottled water, one free bag of laundry per cruise, and enhanced turndown service.

Since 2017, guests can customize stateroom steward service—morning, evening, or both. Guests may also request additional amenities (bathrobes, extra pillows, hangers) and set bed linen change frequency using the in-cabin service menu card. If no preference is indicated, twice-daily service is provided by default.

You can view complete furniture details on the Carnival Conquest cabin plans in the table above.
