Carnival Pride cabins review
The Carnival cruise ship Pride has a total of 16 wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers) and no Spa cabins (with exclusive access to Spa Carnival facilities). The ship offers 28 cabin categories in total.
Connecting rooms ("family cabins") are located on decks 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The list of connecting cabin grades includes: 2 beds (4B, 4C, VS, 7A), 2-3 beds (8A, 8D, 8E, 8M), 2-4 beds (8J), and 2-3-4 beds (8B, 8C, 8K, 8F). Handicap staterooms (16 total) are available in Balcony (8), Oceanview (4), and Interior (4) categories.
Below is an overview of Carnival Pride staterooms, including amenities, furnishings, and complimentary services:
Carnival Pride Suites (Grand, Vista, Ocean, Junior) include 2 twin beds (convertible to king), a dressing area (walk-in closet, vanity table, chair), private bathroom (WC, shower, whirlpool bathtub, bidet, double sinks). Some GS-OS suites have a single/double sofa bed and/or an upper bed for a third or fourth guest. All Vista Suites are located aft and feature large wraparound balconies.
All balcony staterooms have a private balcony with sliding glass doors, a table, patio chairs, sun loungers, and a clear glass panel railing. Premium Vista Balcony cabins are located at the aft corners and offer the same amenities as suites, including wraparound balconies. Extended Balcony cabins come in four grades – 8N, 8M, 8K, and 8J. These have 50% larger balconies, three closets, and full bathrooms with showers. Some 8N-8M rooms include a sofa bed for a third guest, while some 8K-8J rooms include a sofa and/or upper bunk bed for a third or fourth guest.
Oceanview cabins have a large picture window, two twin beds (convertible to queen), and some also feature a sofa and/or upper Pullman bed for a third or fourth guest.
Inside cabins with windows (category 4K) offer obstructed views and include French doors. Some feature a sofa and/or upper Pullman bed for a third or fourth guest. Standard Interior staterooms may also include an upper/bunk bed for a third guest.
All Carnival Pride staterooms include standard complimentary amenities such as a living area (vanity and seating), smart HDTV (with infotainment system, Internet access, on-demand movies, booking/reservations, Room Service ordering), direct-dial phone, electronic safe, lifejackets (in the closet), hairdryer, en-suite bathroom (WC, shower, single-sink vanity, bathrobes, amenity basket replenished upon request), Carnival Comfort Bed System, beach towels, mini-bar/fridge, individual air-conditioning, and 24-hour complimentary room service. Bibles (Gideon version) are available upon request.
Bathroom amenities vary, so it’s recommended to bring personal toiletries. Provided samples may include toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, body lotion, razors, and antacids. Showers are equipped with a wall-mounted dispenser for liquid soap and shampoo. Power outlets are located at the desk/vanity area – one 110 V (US standard) and one 220 V (European standard). The bathroom has a 2-pin plug for electric razors only.
Carnival’s Sail & Sign card (a cashless onboard credit account) also functions as the stateroom key. This card allows passengers to charge onboard purchases and gratuities to their account. It must be used for all transactions onboard, except in the casino where cash is accepted. All passengers (including minors) receive their cards upon boarding. Account balances can be checked at Guest Services or via the stateroom’s smart TV.
The ship’s interactive TV system allows passengers to order room service, purchase on-demand movies, and check their Sail & Sign account. About 25 movies are available for USD 5 each, while adult content costs USD 10. Complimentary in-cabin TV programming includes major networks (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC), news channels (CNN Domestic, International, Español), TCM, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, TNT, TBS, and two movie channels that show PG-13 and G/PG-rated films. Carnival-themed channels include Fun Finds TV, Cruise Director, Fun Aboard, Park West Art, Shore Tours, Ship Position, live cams, Audible Funtimes, Photo, and Music. Sports channels (ESPN, ESPN 2) are shown only on big screens in the Sports Bar and Seaside Theatre. TV connection ports are disabled, preventing the use of personal devices.
The new Carnival beds are custom-made in Europe, featuring New Generation Pillows (100% cotton), hypoallergenic satin-striped duvets and pillowcases, deluxe cotton sheets, and 8-inch spring mattresses (Carnival Comfort trademark). Alternative non-allergenic bedding (100% polyester) is available. Note: Trundle beds do not feature Carnival Comfort mattresses.
Carnival-branded beach towels are provided for use ashore and can be purchased for $22. All suites include two bathrobes. Additional robes are available upon request. In other staterooms, bathrobes are provided on request during the first evening’s turndown service. Bathrobes may also be purchased ($49 for adults, $24 for children aged 2–4 and 6–8).
Lifejackets are used only in emergencies and are stored in the closet. Available in adult, child, and infant sizes. Safes are located in closets, with approximate dimensions: 10 in (W) x 9 in (H) x 8 in (D). Safes operate using any magnetic strip card (an expired or rewards card is recommended instead of a valid credit card or ID). Some safes feature keypad access. Ship security can also open them if needed.
Mini-bars in all cabins and suites are stocked with premium liquors ($6–9.25), beer ($6.25), energy drinks ($5), soft drinks ($2), and bottled water ($3.75). In-cabin babysitting is not available. Complimentary cribs are available upon request. High chairs and booster seats are provided free of charge in Main Dining Rooms.
Smoking is prohibited in all cabins and balconies. Designated smoking areas include Frankenstein’s Lab Nightclub (not on the dance floor), the Casino (designated sections), and Casino Bar. Outdoor smoking areas are on Deck 3 (midship, starboard), Deck 10 (forward, starboard), and Deck 11 (forward/midship/aft, starboard). Cigarettes and e-cigarettes are allowed only in these areas. Cigar and pipe smoking is restricted to designated outdoor areas.
Funville@Sea is a complimentary Intranet service offering information on onboard activities, bar and restaurant menus, deck maps, the Fun Times newsletter, FunAshore tour guides, cruise news, weather reports, and an onboard social network. It is accessible via the in-cabin infotainment system and FunHub stations around the ship.
Current gratuities are USD 12.95 per person per day for standard cabins and USD 13.95 for suite passengers. Suite perks include priority embarkation/debarkation/tendering, main dining room reservations, complimentary bottled water in the cabin, one complimentary bag of laundry per cruise, and enhanced turndown service.
Since 2017, Carnival has allowed guests to customize steward service by choosing morning, evening, or twice-daily servicing. Guests can also request extra pillows, blankets, hangers, and specify linen change frequency. Preferences can be selected using a service menu card in the stateroom. If no selection is made, the default is twice-daily service.
You can view all furniture details for Carnival Pride cabins in the deck plans above.
