Carnival Conquest (2002-built, last refurbished in 2022, with the next scheduled refurbishment in January 2026) is the first of five Conquest-class Carnival cruise ships, alongside Freedom, Glory, Liberty, and Valor.
The Carnival Conquest cruise ship deck plan includes a total of 1,492 staterooms accommodating 2,984 passengers (maximum capacity 3,581), and is served by 1,150 crew members. The vessel has 13 passenger decks (8 with cabins), 22 lounges and bars, 4 swimming pools (one with a retractable glass roof), 7 outdoor Jacuzzis (large whirlpool hot tubs), and 18 elevators.
Passenger staterooms are distributed among the decks as follows: 54 Suites, 521 Balcony cabins, 344 Oceanview cabins, and 577 Inside cabins. Self-service launderettes (laundry rooms for passenger use) are available on all cabin decks. Laundry costs are $3.25 per washer or dryer load and $1.50 per box of detergent/water softener, dispensed via vending machines. Launderettes are open from 6:30 a.m. to midnight and are equipped with 2-3 washers, 2-3 dryers, and 1 ironing board with an iron. Machines operate with coins only (Sail & Sign cards cannot be used). Washing machines are unavailable while the ship is in port, though dryers and irons remain accessible. Valet laundry service is also available through the cabin steward, with pricing per item: wash-and-press ($2–$7.50) and dry-cleaning ($3–$10.50).
Carnival Conquest Deck Plan Changes and Refurbishments
The ship’s 2009 drydock refurbishment added new cabin balconies, an LED screen for the Seaside Theater (overlooking the main pool), and the "Circle C" kids' club.
The "Fun Ship 2.0" refurbishment in October 2012 introduced signature Carnival venues, including new bars, a burrito bar, sushi and burger joints, and a new comedy club presented by George Lopez.
During the 2022 drydock, Carnival Conquest received the fleet’s first Pickleball Court, installed on the top deck. This addition is part of Carnival’s SportSquare, which also features a mini-golf course and a full-size sports court for basketball and volleyball.
