Carnival Freedom deck plans

Carnival Freedom (2007-built, last refurbished in March 2024) is the last of the five Conquest-class Carnival cruise ships, along with Conquest, Glory, Liberty, and Valor.

The Carnival Freedom cruise ship deck plan includes a total of 1,492 staterooms for 2,984 passengers (maximum capacity 3,581), served by 1,150 crew members. The ship has 13 passenger decks (8 with cabins), 22 lounges and bars, 4 swimming pools (one with a retractable glass roof), 7 outdoor Jacuzzis (large whirlpool hot tubs), and 18 elevators.

Carnival Freedom's passenger cabin decks feature 54 Suites, 527 Balcony cabins, 340 Oceanview cabins, and 577 Inside cabins. Self-service launderettes (passenger-use laundromats) are available on all cabin decks. Laundry facilities are coinless and operate using Sail & Sign cards. Fees are $3.25 per washer or dryer load and $1.50 per detergent/softener box (from vending machines). Launderettes are open from 6:30 a.m. to midnight and equipped with 2–3 washers, 2–3 dryers, and 1 ironing board with iron. While in port, washing machines are unavailable, but dryers and irons may still be used. Valet laundry services are available through cabin stewards, with wash-and-press priced between $2–$7.50 per item and dry-cleaning between $3–$10.50.

Carnival Freedom Deck Plan Changes – 2019 Refurbishment Review

The 2019 drydock refurbishment (February 14–March 8, conducted in Freeport, Bahamas) resulted in the following deck plan updates:

WaterWorks Aqua Park (Deck 10) replaced the former Stressless Pool area. The new aquapark includes a 62-m / 203-ft AquaTunnel waterslide, Carnival’s signature 65-m / 212-ft Twister slide, a 75-gallon / 285-liter PowerDrencher tipping bucket, and a kids-only SplashZone.

Bonsai Sushi Express (Deck 9 starboard) was added as a new outdoor food bar, offering a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese specialties.

The Deli (Deck 9 portside) introduced an expanded menu that includes sandwiches, traditional sides, and paninis.

Retail shopping areas on Promenade Deck 5 were redesigned into a mall-style layout and expanded. New outlets now sell watches, perfumes, jewelry, and Carnival-branded merchandise, including the Carnival Adventures Shop (located next to the Internet Cafe, midship-starboard).

The 9-hole Mini-Golf Course was relocated from Deck 12 to Deck 11.

Carnival Freedom's most recent drydock was from March 26 to April 4, 2024, at Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport. This project focused on routine maintenance, classification works, and inspections.
