Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities
Carnival Sunshine deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2025-2026-2027 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Carnival Cruise Line deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the Carnival Sunshine cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Carnival Sunshine staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
Carnival Sunshine (built in 1996 as “Carnival Destiny” and renamed “Sunshine” following a major refit in 2013, last refurbished in January 2025) is the first of two converted Carnival ships in the Sunshine-class, along with her sistership Carnival Sunrise (formerly Carnival Triumph). As a cruise ship class, the Destiny-Sunshine vessel was the first of the three Destiny-class liners—followed by Triumph-Sunrise and Victory-Radiance—as well as Costa Cruises’ ships Costa Fortuna and Costa Magica.
The Carnival Sunshine deck plan features a total of 1,501 staterooms accommodating 3,002 passengers (maximum capacity 3,753), served by 1,040 crew. The vessel has 13 passenger decks (11 with cabins), 22 lounges and bars, 3 swimming pools (one with a retractable glass roof), 7 outdoor Jacuzzis (large whirlpool hot tubs), and 10 elevators. Cabin decks include 55 Suites, 508 Balcony cabins, 342 Oceanviews, 586 Inside cabins, and self-service laundromats (launderettes) for passenger use.
Laundry facilities are available at an additional charge – $3.25 per washer or dryer load and $1.50 per box of detergent/softener (dispensed from vending machines). Launderettes (open from 6:30 am to 12 midnight) are located on all cabin decks and equipped with 2-3 washers, 2-3 dryers, and one ironing board with iron. All machines are coinless and operate with Sail & Sign cards. While in port, washing machines are unavailable (only dryers and irons can be used). Valet laundry service is available through the cabin steward, with pricing per item: wash-and-press ($2–$7.50), dry-cleaning ($3–$10.50).
