Celebrity Eclipse cabins review

Follows the review of Celebrity Eclipse staterooms regarding amenities, furniture, and complimentary services:

All Celebrity Eclipse suite guests enjoy bonus amenities including an iPod station and 24-hour butler service for priority check-in, luggage packing/unpacking, shoeshine, full in-suite dining (expanded room-service menu, afternoon tea, evening hors d'oeuvres), complimentary coffee (espresso, cappuccino), dining reservations with preferred seating, and welcome gifts (champagne, fruit, flowers, Celebrity tote bag).

Additional perks for all suite passengers include complimentary premium beverages, dining at all specialty/surcharge restaurants, unlimited Internet access, mini-bar (stocked with complimentary water, soft drinks, and beers), premium bath amenities (by Bulgari), exclusive access to the Suite-only Michael’s Club (concierge lounge), and Suite-only restaurant (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

All balcony cabins and suite categories feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors leading to a private verandah with lounge furniture.

The ship offers 121 connecting staterooms and 4 Family Veranda Suites (accommodating up to 5 guests). These forward-located suites measure 575 ft² (53.4 m²), each with a balcony (55-105 ft² / 5-10 m², furnished with a 2-seat dining table), a separate living room (coffee table, 2 chairs, convertible sofa/trundle bed, dining area with a 4-seat table), and two bedrooms (wardrobes, one with a queen-size bed, one with a twin bed and an upper Pullman).

All Celebrity Eclipse cabins include 2 twin beds (convertible to a queen-size bed), bedside tables with lamps, ample closet space, private bathroom (shower, bath products, towels, bathrobes), sitting area (desk, drawers, vanity, sofa), smart HDTV, individual air-conditioning, direct-dial phone, electronic safe, and lifejackets (in the closet or behind the desk mirror). Mini-bars are available (AquaClass rooms and suites have mini-fridges). Wi-Fi Internet access, deluxe 100% cotton bedding, and 24-hour complimentary room service are also provided. Some cabins include a sofabed and/or upper Pullman beds for 3rd/4th guests.

Bathroom amenities include bar soap, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, and a wall-mounted hair dryer.

The 24-hour room service menu offers cold and hot breakfast items (cereals, fruits, eggs, pancakes), daily soups, salads, fast food (burgers, sandwiches, pizza), desserts, vegetable lasagna, steaks, quesadillas, and selections from the main dining room’s dinner menu. Orders can be placed via the cabin phone or interactive TV system.

Each stateroom has an interactive TV system (smart HDTV with keyboard-remote control) connected to a mini Mac computer. This system enables Internet browsing, excursion bookings, service requests, account checking, dining reservations, and on-demand movies. Channels include sports, movies, music, news, ship information, and live camera views. TV sizes range from 32 to 52 inches depending on the cabin category.

Cabins are equipped with multiple power outlets: several US-standard plugs (110 V, 3-pin) and one European-standard plug (220 V, 2-pin). UK passengers should bring adapters. There are no bedside outlets, so bringing an extension cord is recommended.

Celebrity Cruises' Penthouse Suites are top-rated accommodations. Each features a foyer, bedroom (king bed, 52-inch TV, vanity, walk-in closet, dressing room), bathroom (marble floor, 26-inch TV, double-sink vanity, whirlpool bathtub, bidet, large dual shower), living room (hardwood floor, motorized curtains, plush furnishings, double sofa bed, coffee table, 4 chairs, media center, 52-inch TV with surround sound, baby grand piano), dining area (glass-topped 8-seat table, pantry, wet bar), powder room (WC, shower), full guest bathroom, and a large veranda (390 ft² / 36 m²) with patio furniture, dining table, and outdoor Jacuzzi.

AquaClass ("spa cabins"), located on Deck 11 near the Canyon Ranch Spa, match the size of Deluxe OceanView, Sunset Veranda, and Concierge staterooms (190 ft² with a 55 ft² balcony). Guests enjoy exclusive dining at Blu (Deck 5, aft-portside), priority seating, complimentary breakfast and dinner, unlimited Spa access (Persian Garden, Relaxation Room), daily bottled water and flavored iced tea, luxury bedding (Frette linens, towels, robes, slippers, pillow menu), premium bath products, daily canapés, wellness menu, wellness classes, and a personal Spa Concierge. However, AquaClass guests receive a beverage package allowing them to get bottled water at ship bars. Note: drink packages are unavailable on transoceanic crossings, including Transatlantic voyages.
