The room's design features a panel (located behind the bed) that opens, serving as entry door for the bathroom (the panel is mirrored on the bath side). Edge Veranda is an "Infinite Veranda" (French Balcony) stateroom - new for Celebrity Cruises category. The cabin is about 23% larger than Solstice-class balcony rooms, allowing King-size beds. Edge Veranda cabins feature a vanity table that slips under the desk. This way, the full-length lighted mirror (mounted on the wall) is better revealed.
Handicap cabins (for disabled passengers) are all located on Deck 8. These are room numbers 8230, 8232, 8234, 8236, 8239, 8241, 8243, 8245). Each wheelchair-accessible cabin (Category E1) is sized 305 ft2 (28 m2) and has balcony sized 65 ft2 (6 m2).

Celebrity Xcel cabins review
Celebrity Xcel cruise ship has a total of 1,646 staterooms for 3,276 passengers (maximum capacity 3,950) and 726 crew cabins (accommodating 1,320 crew/staff). Of all staterooms, 81% are Balcony, 10% Oceanview, and 9% Inside. A total of 1,305 cabins support triple or quad occupancy. There are 178 connecting cabins and 25 wheelchair-accessible cabins.
The Iconic Suite is a new addition to Celebrity Cruises’ accommodation categories. The suite spans 1,890 ft² (176 m²), with a 690 ft² (64 m²) veranda. Located above the Navigation Bridge wing, the balcony features a whirlpool hot tub, shaded private cabana, outdoor lounge seating, and live plants. Each Iconic Suite has two bedrooms (both with king-sized beds), two full bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, and offers 270-degree panoramic views.
Edge Villas are another new stateroom category. Guests enjoy exclusive access to private plunge pools and direct access to "The Retreat Sundeck."
Edge Veranda is an "Infinite Veranda" stateroom—a new category for Celebrity. These cabins are about 23% larger than Solstice-class balconies, allowing king-sized beds and offering double the drawer space. Bathrooms are 10% larger than those in the Solstice-class. Edge Verandas feature a vanity table that tucks under the desk, revealing a full-length lighted wall mirror.
Edge Veranda ("Infinite Balcony") cabins offer a unique feature: with the touch of a button, the doors fold away, and the living room transforms into a balcony. The electronically operated window measures 2.3 m wide by 2 m high (7.5 x 6.5 ft) and is horizontally divided—an upper moving panel slides over a fixed lower panel. The control button is placed at a child-safe height near the window.
Penthouse Suites, designed by Kelly Hoppen MBE, include a swing chair (Hanging Hoop Chair Brass by Lee Broom), a NAAS floor lamp (by Bruno Moinard), and a Drew Fabric Swivel Chair (by RH Modern).
Sky Suites feature king-sized beds facing the balcony and a spacious furnished veranda with a rocking chair and pillows. The bathroom access is via a mirrored panel located behind the bed. Bathrooms include an oval hot tub combined with a shower.
All suites are served by personal butlers. Additional suite perks may include a complimentary "Classic Drinks Package" for two, onboard credit, unlimited free Wi-Fi, and included gratuities.
The Retreat Suites offer butler service accessible via a WhatsApp chat function, enabling 24/7 communication. Guests also benefit from the services of a dedicated excursion expert for personalized shore planning and transportation arrangements. Private suite-to-car butler escorts are available for shore trips.
All staterooms feature standard amenities including bathrobes, tote bags, smart HDTVs (with infotainment, Internet, and on-demand movies), luxury bath toiletries, hairdryer, electronic safe, lifejackets (in closet), mini-bar, and dual-voltage (110/220 V) outlets. Each cabin includes a king-sized bed (with hypoallergenic, cashmere mattresses handcrafted by Matermoll, Italy) and deluxe bedding. Single cabins feature queen-sized beds. Small touchscreens control air conditioning, lighting, curtains, wake-up alarms, and room service. All staterooms support keyless entry via smartphone digital keys, standard keycards, and RFID bands.
Cabin bathrooms include one electrical outlet for a hairdryer. USB ports are hidden in the desktop box in the lounge area. Power outlets for US and European plugs are located near the vanity/dressing table. Cabins can also be unlocked via a facial recognition-enabled smartphone app.
Room service is available 24 hours a day, offering both hot and cold breakfast items (cereals, fruits, eggs, pancakes), daily soups, salads, fast food (burgers, sandwiches, pizza), desserts, vegetable lasagna, steaks, quesadillas, and selections from the main dining room's dinner menu. Orders can be placed via cabin phone or the interactive TV system.
IMPORTANT: Celebrity Cruises applies a USD 3.95 service charge for room service orders placed between 11 pm and 6 am. This charge applies fleetwide, including on Celebrity Xcel. Guests staying in AquaClass, ConciergeClass, or Suites are exempt from this fee.
IMPORTANT: The daily replenished bottled water perk for AquaClass cabins has been discontinued. AquaClass guests, along with those in Sky Suites and Celebrity Suites, now receive two complimentary 9 oz (250 ml) water bottles only once—upon embarkation. However, AquaClass guests receive a beverage package, which allows them to get bottled water at ship bars. Note that Celebrity Cruises drink packages are not available on transoceanic (including Transatlantic) crossings.
Celebrity Cruises’ automatic daily gratuities are: USD 13.50 for standard cabins (Inside, Oceanview, Balcony), USD 14.00 for AquaClass and ConciergeClass cabins, and USD 17.00 for Suites. These charges are shared among the service team, including dining staff, housekeeping, and cabin stewards.
Each stateroom features keyless entry via smartphone, traditional keycards, and RFID bands.
Of the 1,467 total staterooms, 146 are Sky Suites, 2 are Penthouse Suites, 6 are Edge Villas, and 2 are Iconic Suites.
