MSC World Atlantic cabins review

Of all MSC World Atlantic staterooms (2614 total), approximately 65% are outside. Most passenger cabins feature a double bed (convertible to two single beds) plus a convertible couch (double sofabed) to accommodate a 3rd/4th guest. The ship has 19 cabin categories, including seven newly introduced MSC categories. Guaranteed cabin categories include YCW-Yacht Club Suite, BW-Balcony, OW-Oceanview, and IW-Inside.

  • Double beds are not available in the Interior Studio and Outside Studio categories.
  • Bunk beds are not suitable for children under 16 years of age.
  • 3rd and 4th beds are not available in Interior Studio, Interior Bella, Oceanview Studio, Promenade View Balcony, and MSC Yacht Club Interior Suite categories.
  • 5th and 6th beds are available only in the Family Suite Aurea category.
  • Cabin balconies are of two types: metal balustrade/guardrail or half-glass/half-metal balustrade.

To accommodate larger groups (up to eight guests), the ship offers three types of “family cabins,” consisting of two or three modular connecting staterooms (and their balconies). These categories include FPB (“Super Family Plus”), FLA (“Super Family”), and FMB (“Family”) balconied staterooms.

For guests with disabilities, the vessel offers 65 ADA staterooms (33 Inside, 24 Balcony, 8 Junior Suite), all wheelchair-accessible.

Like her MSC WORLD-class sisterships, World Atlantic offers Promenade View cabins (aft-located interior-facing balcony staterooms overlooking the Promenade Deck), Duplex Suites (two-deck accommodations with large terraces, some with outdoor Jacuzzis), AUREA Suites (aft-facing with wraparound balconies), AUREA Family Suites (expanded balcony cabins with a kids’ bedroom with bunk beds), and Infinite Oceanview cabins (French Balcony staterooms with down-sliding windows/balustrades opening to a Juliet-style balcony).

MSC's ZOE

ZOE is MSC’s—and the cruise industry’s first—in-cabin digital assistant. The technology was developed by Harman International (a US-based company and fully owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics).

  • ZOE is an artificial intelligence device (voice-enabled, with advanced voice-recognition software) available in all passenger staterooms.
  • ZOE speaks seven languages, answers cruise-related questions, provides information on shipboard services, activities, and facilities, and handles reservations and bookings.
  • The device includes far-field microphones, a high-quality speaker, a quad-core processor (for fast responses), and direct phone connectivity (via Bluetooth). The system can also update its database to answer previously unanswerable questions.
  • Passenger data (including itinerary, tour information, and onboard preferences) is stored in Cloud Storage and reused on subsequent voyages.
  • The device (approximately 15 cm in size) can be activated at any time. A waiver must be signed to authorize the storage of personal data.

Beginning with Bellissima (2019), ZOE is available on all newbuild MSC ships and is being rolled out fleetwide by 2024.
