MSC World Europa cabins and suites

Of all MSC World Europa staterooms (2633 total), around 65% are outside. Most cabins feature a double bed (convertible to 2 single beds) plus a double sofabed to accommodate a 3rd/4th guest. The ship offers 19 cabin categories, including 7 new MSC cabin types. Guaranteed categories include YCW-Yacht Club Suite, BW-Balcony, OW-Oceanview, and IW-Inside.

• Double beds are not available in Interior Studio and Outside Studio categories.
• Bunk beds are not suitable for children under 16 years of age.
• 3rd and 4th beds are not available in Interior Studio, Interior Bella, Oceanview Studio, Promenade View Balcony, and MSC Yacht Club Interior Suite categories.
• 5th and 6th beds are available only in Family Suite Aurea.
• Cabin balconies are either metal balustrade/guardrail or half-glass/half-metal balustrade.

For accommodating larger groups (up to 8 guests), the ship offers three types of “family cabins,” consisting of 2 or 3 modular connecting rooms (and their balconies). These are the FPB (“Super Family Plus”), FLA (“Super Family”), and FMB (“Family”) balcony staterooms.

For passengers with disabilities, the vessel offers 65 ADA/wheelchair-accessible cabins (33 Inside, 24 Balcony, 8 Junior Suite).

Like all MSC WORLD Class ships, World Europa offers Promenade View cabins (aft-located “interior balcony” staterooms overlooking the Promenade Deck), Duplex Suites (two-deck accommodations with large terraces, some with outdoor Jacuzzis), AUREA Suites (aft-facing with wraparound balconies), AUREA Family Suites (larger balcony cabins with a kids’ bedroom and bunk beds), and Infinite Oceanview cabins (French Balcony-style, with down-sliding windows opening to a Juliet balcony).

The following is a review of MSC World Europa staterooms in terms of amenities, furnishings, and included (complimentary) services.

All cabins include as standard complimentary amenities: twin beds (convertible to a King-size double upon request), leather headboard, bedside tables, wall-mounted reading lamps, pillow menu, large wardrobe, smart HDTV (interactive system for bookings, itinerary/port and excursion information, movies on demand, live webcam views), direct-dial phone (intercom/onboard use only), electronic safe, lifejackets (in the closet), hairdryer, mini-bar/fridge, sitting area (mirrored vanity table, chairs), en-suite bathroom (WC/wall-mounted toilet, single-sink vanity, shower), individual thermostat-controlled air conditioning, and Wi-Fi Internet access.

All MSC YACHT CLUB suites are additionally fitted with Nespresso machines. All Suite categories also feature larger bathrooms with bathtubs.

• YC4-Royal Suites offer a large balcony (with outdoor Jacuzzi/whirlpool and alfresco dining area with a 6-seat table), separate dining room, living room, bathroom (with spa tub), walk-in closet (with shoe rack and luggage storage), and 2 HDTVs.
• YJD-Duplex Suites are two-deck accommodations. Level 1 includes the living/dining room (double sofabed), bathroom (shower), and terrace (with Jacuzzi and 4-seat dining table). Level 2 includes the master bedroom (double bed/non-convertible), bathroom (shower and spa tub), and sundeck (sun loungers).
• YCD-Duplex Suites are two-deck accommodations. Level 1 includes the living/dining room (double sofabed), walk-in closet, bathroom (shower), and terrace (sundeck with loungers). Level 2 includes the master bedroom (double bed) and bathroom (shower and spa tub).
• Other Yacht Club suite categories include YC1-Deluxe and YIN-Interior.
• Two new Owner Suites (YC4) feature a double bedroom (with walk-in closet) and bathroom (full-size bathtub), a separate living-dining area (with floor-to-ceiling windows), and two sundecks (terraces with alfresco dining areas and Jacuzzis).

The new AUREA cabin categories are S3 (Family Suite), SC3 (Promenade View Suite), SE3 (Grand Suite), SJ3 (Suite with Balcony Jacuzzi), and ST3 (Grand Suite with Wraparound Balcony).

All Promenade View staterooms are interior-facing cabins with balconies overlooking the Promenade, which is partially covered by an LED-screen canopy and lined with dining and entertainment venues.

Interconnecting “cluster cabins” are designed for large families and group travel. This concept allows up to 3 staterooms to be linked and opened up. Family cabins fall into two main categories: FAMILY (max 6 guests, 2 connecting rooms, 2 baths, 1 balcony) and SUPERFAMILY (max 6 guests, 2 connecting rooms, 2 baths /one with bathtub/, 2 balconies).

MSC “BELLA” cabins are in categories I1-Inside, O1-Oceanview, and B1-Balcony. Booking Bella-class staterooms includes additional perks: 20-hour gourmet buffet, daily scheduled activities, access to a dedicated swimming pool, modern gym, open-air sports facilities, and MSC Club points.

MSC “FANTASTICA” cabins are in categories I2-Inside, O2-Oceanview, B2-Balcony, and FLA-SuperFamily. Fantastica-class perks include 24-hour room service, 50% discount on fitness classes, dedicated kids’ activities, complimentary in-room breakfast delivery, priority dinner seating, and cooking sessions with the ship’s Master Chef. These cabins are located on upper decks and offer convenient access to elevators and popular lounges.

MSC “AUREA” cabins are in categories B3-Balcony, S3-Family Suite, SC3-Promenade View Suite, SE3-Grand Suite, SJ3-Suite with Balcony Jacuzzi, and ST3-Grand Suite with Premium Balcony. Aurea-class bookings include a complimentary Aurea Spa package, unlimited Thermal Area access, a 60-minute massage per person (max 2 per cabin), 20-minute Solarium session, welcome cocktail party, plus priority services (check-in, embarkation, tendering), bathrobes, slippers, luxury spa products, and 24-hour unlimited drinks (specialty coffee, wine and beer, cocktails, soft drinks, gelato).

MSC YACHT CLUB guests enjoy 24-hour butler service, dedicated concierge, all-inclusive dining (a la carte restaurant with anytime dining), unlimited drinks (from the cabin’s mini-bar and throughout the Yacht Club complex), exclusive access to The One Sun Deck (suites-only sundeck with pool and whirlpools), and the Top Sail Lounge (with its own restaurant).

Passengers booked in MSC Wellness cabins (IW-Inside, OW-Oceanview, BW-Balcony, and YCW-Yacht Club) receive access to dedicated sports facilities, training equipment and amenities, a personal trainer, personalized fitness program, fitness-focused excursions, healthy food and beverages, and complimentary laundry service for gym wear.

Note: On decks 13 and 14, balcony cabins shown in pink represent the line’s new “wellness” class. The same class includes interior cabins on deck 13, plus four outside staterooms on deck 8.

MSC's ZOE

ZOE is MSC’s (and the cruise industry’s first) in-cabin digital assistant. The technology was developed by Harman International (a US-based subsidiary of Samsung Electronics).

• ZOE is a voice-enabled AI device with advanced speech-recognition software, available in all staterooms.
• She speaks 7 languages, answers cruise-related questions, provides information on onboard services, activities, and facilities, and can make reservations and bookings.
• The device features far-field microphones, a high-quality speaker, quad-core processor (for fast response), and Bluetooth connectivity. It can also upgrade its database to answer previously unanswerable questions.
• Passenger data (including itinerary and onboard preferences) is stored in cloud-based systems and used again on a guest’s next cruise.
• The device (approx. 15 cm) can be activated at any time. A waiver must be signed to allow storage of personal data.

Starting with Bellissima (2019), ZOE is available on all MSC newbuild liners and is being introduced fleetwide through 2024.
