MSC World Asia cabins and suites

Of all MSC World Asia staterooms (2614 total), approximately 65% are outside. Most passenger cabins have a double bed (convertible to 2x single beds) plus a convertible couch (double sofabed) to accommodate a 3rd/4th guest. There are 19 total cabin categories, including 7 new MSC-exclusive types. Guaranteed cabin categories include YCW-Yacht Club Suite, BW-Balcony, OW-Oceanview, IW-Inside.

• Double beds are not available in the Interior Studio and Outside Studio categories.
• Bunk beds are not suitable for children under 16 years old.
• 3rd and 4th beds are not available in the Interior Studio, Interior Bella, Oceanview Studio, Promenade View Balcony, and MSC Yacht Club Interior Suite categories.
• 5th and 6th beds are available only in the Family Suite Aurea category.
• Cabin balconies are of two types: metal balustrade/guardrail or half-glass/half-metal balustrade.

To accommodate more guests (up to 8), the ship offers three types of “family cabins” comprising 2 or 3 modular connecting rooms (and their balconies). These categories are FPB (“Super Family Plus”), FLA (“Super Family”), and FMB (“Family”) balcony staterooms.

For passengers with disabilities, the liner has 65 handicapped/wheelchair-accessible ADA cabins (33 Inside, 24 Balcony, 8 Junior Suite).

Like her MSC WORLD-class sisterships, World Asia features Promenade View cabins (aft-located “interior balcony” cabins overlooking the Promenade Deck), Duplex Suites (two-deck accommodations with large terraces, some with outdoor Jacuzzis), AUREA Suites (with aft-facing wraparound balconies), AUREA Family Suites (larger balcony staterooms with a kids’ bedroom and bunk beds), and Infinite Oceanview cabins (French Balcony design with down-sliding windows and a Juliet/false balcony).

Below is the review of MSC World Asia staterooms, detailing amenities, furniture, and included (complimentary) services.

All passenger cabins include as standard/complimentary amenities: twin beds (singles convertible to a King-size double upon request), leather headboard, bedside tables, wall-mounted reading lamps, pillow menu, large wardrobe, smart HDTV (interactive system for onboard bookings, itinerary/ports/tours information, movies on demand, live webcam views), direct-dial phone (intercom/onboard only), electronic safe, lifejackets (in the closet), hairdryer, mini-bar/fridge, sitting/lounge area (mirrored vanity table, chairs), en-suite bathroom (WC/wall-mounted toilet, single-sink vanity, shower), individual air-conditioning (thermostat-controlled), and Wi-Fi access.

All MSC YACHT CLUB suites additionally feature Nespresso machines. All Suite categories offer larger bathrooms with bathtubs.

• YC4-Royal Suites include a large balcony (with outdoor Jacuzzi/whirlpool and alfresco dining table for 6), separate dining room, living room, bathroom (with spa tub), walk-in closet (wardrobe with shoe rack and luggage storage), and 2 HDTVs.
• YJD-Duplex Suites are two-deck accommodations. Level 1 includes the living/dining room (double sofabed), bathroom (shower), and terrace (with Jacuzzi and 4-seat dining table). Level 2 includes the Master Bedroom (non-convertible double bed), bathroom (shower and spa tub), and Sundeck (sun loungers).
• YCD-Duplex Suites are two-deck accommodations. Level 1 includes the dining/living room (double sofabed), walk-in closet, bathroom (shower), and terrace (sundeck with loungers). Level 2 includes the Master Bedroom (double bed) and bathroom (shower and spa tub).
• OP-Royal Duplex Suites (Decks 16-18) feature two levels. The Main Level (Deck 16 – Suite entrance) includes the living area (large sofa converting to a double bed, armchair, pouf), spiral staircase (to the Upper Level), bedroom (two single bunk beds, TV, wardrobe), marble bathroom (WC/shower), and balcony (with whirlpool bath and outdoor seating). The Upper Level (Deck 18) includes the master bedroom (Queen-size bed convertible to two singles), marble bathroom (with bathtub), and dressing area (vanity table and chair).
• The “Royal Duplex Suite” category (0P) includes staterooms such as 16024, 16026, 16028, and 16030.
• Other Yacht Club categories include YC1-Deluxe and YIN-Interior Suites.
• The two new Owner Suites (YC4) feature a double bedroom (with walk-in closet) and bathroom (with full-size bathtub), separate living-dining area (floor-to-ceiling windows), and two sundecks (each with alfresco dining area and Jacuzzi).

The new AUREA cabin categories include S3 (Family Suite), SC3 (Promenade View Suite), SE3 (Grand Suite), SJ3 (Suite with Balcony Jacuzzi), and ST3 (Grand Suite with Wraparound Balcony).

All “Promenade View” staterooms are interior-facing cabins with balconies overlooking the Promenade, which is partially covered by an LED-screen atrium lined with dining and entertainment venues.

Interconnecting “cluster cabins” are designed for large families and group travel. This concept allows up to 3 staterooms to be linked and opened. Family cabins fall into two main categories: FAMILY (max 6 passengers, 2 connecting rooms, 2 baths, 1 balcony) and SUPERFAMILY (max 6 passengers, 2 connecting rooms, 2 baths – one with bathtub, 2 balconies).

MSC “BELLA cabins” include categories I1-Inside, O1-Oceanview, B1-Balcony. Booking Bella-class cabins provides extra perks: 20-hour gourmet buffet, organized daily activities, access to a dedicated swimming pool, modern gym, open-air sports facilities, and MSC Club points.

MSC “FANTASTICA cabins” include categories I2-Inside, O2-Oceanview, B2-Balcony, and FLA-SuperFamily. Booking Fantastica-class cabins adds extra perks: 24-hour room service, 50% discount on fitness classes, dedicated kids’ activities, complimentary in-room breakfast dining, free delivery, priority dinner seating, and cooking sessions with the ship’s Master Chef. These staterooms are located on upper decks with convenient access to elevators and lounges.

MSC “AUREA cabins” include categories B3-Balcony, S3-Family Suite, SC3-Promenade View Suite, SE3-Grand Suite, SJ3-Suite with Balcony Jacuzzi, ST3-Grand Suite with Premium Balcony. Booking Aurea-class cabins includes: complimentary Aurea Spa package, unlimited Thermal Area access, 60-min massage per person (max 2 per stateroom), 20-min Solarium usage, welcome cocktail party, priority services (check-in, embarkation, tendering), bathrobes, slippers, luxury spa products, and 24-hour unlimited drinks (specialty coffee, wine, beer, cocktails, soft drinks, gelato).

MSC World Asia’s Yacht Club complex covers 9,900 m2 (106,560 ft2), includes a 2-level exclusive sundeck (furnished by Unopiù), and houses 144 suites across 7 categories, a sports bar, a comedy club, and 6 specialty restaurants.

MSC YACHT CLUB guests enjoy 24-hour butler service, dedicated concierge service (24-hour Concierge Reception), all-inclusive dining (a la carte menu, your-time dining in an exclusive gourmet restaurant – TBN), unlimited drinks (from the in-suite mini-bar and all Yacht Club venues), exclusive access to “The One Sun Deck” (suites-only area), and exclusive access to the Top Sail Lounge. The Yacht Club’s private areas include the Top Sail Lounge (with its own restaurant) and The One Pool Deck (swimming pool, whirlpools, sundeck, and bar service).

Passengers booked in MSC Wellness cabins (IW-Inside, OW-Oceanview, BW-Balcony, YCW-Yacht Club) receive access to dedicated sports facilities, training equipment, a personal trainer, personalized fitness program, fitness-themed excursions, healthy food and beverages, and complimentary laundry service (gym wear only).

Note: On Decks 13 and 14, balcony cabins highlighted in pink are the line’s new “wellness” class. This class also includes interior staterooms on Deck 13 and four outside staterooms on Deck 8.

MSC's ZOE

ZOE is MSC’s (and the cruise industry’s first) in-cabin digital assistant. The technology was developed by Harman International (a US-based company and a fully owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics).

• ZOE is a voice-enabled artificial intelligence device with advanced voice-recognition software available in all passenger cabins.
• ZOE speaks seven languages, answers cruise-related questions, provides information on onboard services, activities, and facilities, and manages reservations and bookings.
• The device features far-field microphones, a high-quality speaker, quad-core processor (for fast response times), and direct phone connectivity via Bluetooth. ZOE can also update its database to answer previously unanswered questions.
• Passenger data (such as itinerary, tours, and onboard preferences) is stored in the Cloud Storage system and reused on future voyages.
• The device (approximately 15 cm) can be activated at any time. A waiver must be signed to consent to personal data storage.

Introduced on Bellissima (2019), ZOE is available on all MSC newbuild ships and is being rolled out fleetwide.
