The list of MS Zuiderdam cabins by type includes a total of 162 Suites, 499 Balconies, 163 Oceanviews, and 163 Inside cabins. The ship offers 30 cabin categories in total. Of all cruise accommodations, 86% provide an outside view and 68% feature a step-out balcony. There are 27 wheelchair-accessible cabins and 136 connecting staterooms.

All MS Zuiderdam staterooms feature standard amenities including a spacious sleeping area (two twin beds convertible to a Queen-size bed), an en-suite bathroom (bathtub, shower, massage showerheads, luxury bath products, hairdryer), and a lounge/sitting area (sofabed, vanity table with magnifying mirror). Additional in-room amenities include a smart HDTV (infotainment system, Internet access, on-demand movies), DVD player (with DVD library), personal stationery, electronic safe, lifejackets (in the closet), direct-dial phone, and individual air conditioning. All cabin grades also provide luxury bedding and mattresses (HAL’s signature “Mariner’s Dream”), cotton robes and towels, and complimentary services upon request (shoeshine, fresh fruit, ice service).

All Suites and Balcony cabins include floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening onto a private veranda furnished with one table and two chairs. Penthouses additionally feature sun loungers and small tables.

Pinnacle and Signature Suites also offer twin beds convertible to a king-size bed, bathrooms with whirlpool bathtubs, and a dressing room. Guests in these higher-category accommodations enjoy exclusive perks such as concierge service, priority services (check-in, embarkation, disembarkation, tendering, dining reservations), enhanced in-room dining (Afternoon Tea and canapés), umbrella and binoculars, Welcome Aboard gifts (flowers, fruit, champagne, bottled water), exclusive Suite Lounge access (Neptune Lounge), private breakfast service (Pinnacle Grill), and complimentary laundry, pressing, and dry-cleaning services.

The largest accommodations are the Penthouses/Pinnacle Suites (located forward on Deck 7). These include an oversized whirlpool bathtub, guest bathroom/half bath, powder room/dressing room, a separate living room (with sofabed), and a dining room equipped with a minibar, pantry, refrigerator, and microwave.

Wheelchair-accessible cabins (ADA-certified rooms for disabled passengers) are available in the following categories: Neptune Suite (SC), Signature Suite (SY, SS), Balcony (VA, VB), Oceanview (C, D, H), and Interior (I, J, K).

Holland America’s Zuiderdam Suite guests enjoy the following category-specific perks:

• Neptune Suites – Nespresso coffee machine, BOSE SoundDock (multimedia iPod docking station), complimentary in-cabin breakfast (with complimentary mimosas), and luxury bath products by Elemis.
• Signature and Vista Suites – binoculars for complimentary use throughout the voyage.

Implemented fleetwide in 2019, the “Club Orange” program provides additional exclusive amenities to passengers booked in Neptune and Pinnacle Suites. Program benefits include:

• priority services (check-in, disembarkation, tendering, dining reservations)
• 24-hour concierge service (assistance, information, reservations)
• access to an exclusive dining venue offering complimentary Pinnacle Grill breakfast, Dining Room dinner, and exclusive dishes
• a dedicated Concierge Desk (Guest Services and Shore Excursions)
• enhanced room service (à la carte breakfast menu featuring complimentary gourmet dishes such as smoked salmon and steak and eggs)
• sparkling wine on embarkation day, Club Orange tote bag, and premium bathrobes (cabin use, available for monogramming and purchase)
• the Club Orange Restaurant is part of the Main Dining Room, designed as a separate VIP dining section.

During MS Zuiderdam’s drydock refurbishment in 2015, all Suites were upgraded with:

• new sofa, chairs, headboard, carpet, wall coverings, privacy curtain, drapery, bed runner, bed skirt, quartz vanity top, vanity lighting, dresser, dressing table, and nightstands
• a new USB outlet on the headboard, bedside LED reading lights, additional electrical outlets, and a lighted closet rod
• a new interactive TV system offering complimentary movies-on-demand, access to the ship’s daily program, onboard account information, Internet services, and ship information (restaurants, bars, deck plans, spa services, etc.)
• bathrooms redesigned with a wall of designer glass tiles as a backdrop to the new dressing area featuring a stone countertop, modern taps, an undermount sink, new mirrors with integrated LED lighting, stylish floor tiles, and a nightlight.
