Iona deck 6 plan (Gala-Dining)

Deck layout and review

Review of Iona deck 6 (Gala-Dining)

"Headliners Theatre" (lower level 1 of 2) is the ship's main show lounge for grand-style music and dance productions in the evenings. The theater lounge has comfortable plush seating and the latest LED, video and sound technologies. The 2-deck-high auditorium during the day serves as complimentary Cinema and also offers matinee performances and fun activities (Q&As, port talks, lectures). In the evenings, full-scale productions offer West End-style shows, stand-up comedy and cabaret performances.

Oasis Spa complex (upper level 2 of 2)

The Art Gallery features an extensive Art collection displayed throughout the cruise ship.

"The Limelight Club" combines gourmet food with top-quality entertainment, exclusively for adults. The lounge offers live performances by popular guest entertainers, as well as by ship's resident performers, accompanied by Iona cruise ship's own music band. Here are also hosted daily dancing classes and music events. The club lounge is served by its own full-service Bar. After the evening show, Limelight Club transforms into a disco nightclub.

"Harbours" (duty-free shop)

"The 710 Club" has a stylish cocktail bar (professional mixologists) and offers live acoustic music by top-quality performers.

"Ocean Studios" is a boutique cinema with comfortable seating and 4 screens running throughout the day classic movies and recent blockbusters. The Cinema is fitted with the latest surround sound technology.

The ship's all four Main Dining Rooms (MDRs) located aft on Decks 6 (Aqua Restaurant-portside, Opal Restaurant-starboard, Coral Restaurant-aft) and 7 (Pearl Restaurant-aft). All dining room restaurants offer "Freedom Dining" (open seating) breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea service and dinner. Gala Nights (formal dinner events) are also hosted here, with a special Gala menu by Marco Pierre White. Liner's largest MDRs (Pearl and Coral) are located aft on decks 6-7 and are interconnected to make one large 2-level restaurant.

The 3-decks high Grand Atrium is located midship, featuring natural light and great sea views from its floor-ceiling windows. Ship's Grand Atrium is a new design concept for P&O UK, created by the architecture and design firm Jestico+Whiles (creators of The Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi, W Hotel in London, and Aqua restaurant in The Shard London).

The Atrium is the liner's key entertainment space that hosts from morning coffee to evening drinks. Deck 6 (Atrium level 1 of 3) houses "The Vistas Cafe Bar" (patisserie with a menu by Eric Lanlard), "Emerald Bar" (premium cocktail bar), live pop-up entertainment in mid-morning (musical performances, buskers) and early evening starting aerial acrobatics (circus performances).

P&O Iona ship's Marabelle Gin distillery

"Anderson's" is a classic gin bar lounge that doubles as Library (relaxation lounge). In the evenings, Andersons serves with alcoholic drinks the nearby MDR restaurants.

However, the lounge's focal point is the Marabelle Gin distillery (via partnership with Salcombe Distilling Co Ltd), and special events like gin tastings and workshops (master classes). Through the partnership with Salcombe Distilling, P&O Iona ship guests can purchase and even create their own Marabelle Gin (42% ABV/alcohol by volume).

The exclusively created for P&O Cruises alcohol is produced onboard the Iona ship. For the unique gin recipe are used 18 herbs - including Iona Island's heather (calluna vulgaris), mint, citrus, blackberry, green apple, rose petals, kelp (seaweed).

Since MS Iona's inauguration (2021), Marabelle Gin (trademarked brand) is also available fleetwide - served across P&O UK's entire fleet. The produced on the cruise ship gin is bottled and labeled, with bottles available for purchase.
