Promenade Deck layout starts with “The Marquee” theater. This is a 2-decks high main show lounge for large-scale productions, including live music, magic and comedy shows by guest entertainers. Daily, the teatre hosts Jackpot bingo games and trivia quizzes. Evening entertainment options also include Circus performances and the viZion laser show. The theater is served by the Marquee Bar.
Located portside and starboard are the ship’s two “Tax & Duty Free Shops”. They sell liquor and tabaccos, brand perfumes and cosmetics, fashion clothing and accessories, luxury jewelry and watches at duty-free prices (up to 40% off the retail prices). The “MIX” bar overlooks the Atrium and serves specialty cocktails. Live piano music is played at night. Guests can take part in the onboard Mix Academy (extra charges apply) and learn how to make favourite drinks.
The “Connexions Bar” serves the open-air Promenade deck areas. It is a square-shaped spot with plush sofas, tables and chairs, along with retro 1970s decor of rich red and gold, and a stage for live performances, dancing and karaoke.
Here are also the “Photo & Video Gallery” (portside and starboard display areas) and “Tech Store” (portside, selling photo/video equipment and accessories).
“The Orient” bar is an English pub with a great selection of beers, added to Pacific Jewel during 2013 refurbishment. It is specializing in live music and cocktails, and has traditional decor to match, with dark wood, dark blue leather upholstery, Chesterfield-style furniture, and intimate nooks with benches.
“Waterfront Restaurant” is the ship’s dining room which operates with open-seating arrangement and a la carte (“Your Choice Dining”) menus for breakfast and lunch, plus 4-course dinner menu. Tables capacity vary (from 2 to 10 seats). Dining times here vary (sea / port days): Breakfast (7:30-9:30 / 7-9am), Lunch (12-2pm), Dinner (5:30-9:30pm). Breakfast at The Waterfront includes 9 options, such as vanilla bean porridge, raspberry sourdough bread and toasted pear. The breakfast menu also features delights like the more standard big breakfast, maple scrambled eggs with toast and bacon, grilled black pudding with fried eggs over-easy, potatoes, onion, bacon rashers, sticky apple jam, ham hock, homemade beef casserole. For lunch, there are a total of 10 entrees with dishes like Lebanese fattoush salad, chicken pho and cream of tomato soup. Alternatively, guests can try 1 of 3 pasta dishes such as gorgonzola and chicken penne, sun-dried tomato cannelloni and spaghetti bolognaise. Mains include lamb rogan josh, roasted half chicken, cheeseburger with French fries, fish and chips. Desserts feature cookies 'n' cream cheesecake, dark chocolate fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream, and healthy options like tropical fruit skewers. Dinner menu offers multi-course specials changed on a daily basis and a la carte selection accompanied by a wine list. Entrees feature a choice of 4 dishes like Chinese lemongrass chicken, baked garlic and eggplant quiche, potato and leek soup, while mains include Mediterranean vegetable moussaka, grilled swordfish steak, crisp bacon linguini with white clam sauce, steamed vegetable dim sum. 4 desserts finish off the dinner, with a choice of 2 sweet treats including amaretti and apple strudel or coconut and mango parfait with chocolate sauce, cheese or fruit platter. The menu features marked vegetarian options. Gluten-free dishes have to be pre-ordered. Those who require a special diet have to contact the Waterfront's restaurant manager on boarding to make arrangements.
Part of the Waterfront restaurant is the “Wine Room” (private dining venue). The Wine Room also serves P&O Australia’s “Chef’s Table” programme. This is a gourmet dining package (capacity 14 guests, AU$95 surcharge PP, reservations-only) inclusive of cocktail reception, gourmet canapes made by the Pacific Jewel ship’s Executive Chef, and a galley tour. A highlight is having the chef introduce each dish in the 7-course degustation menu, including matching wines. Guests can try dishes like marinated Ahi tuna with wasabi, avocado, limes and miso mayonnaise; baked red curry chicken with coconut broth; poached pear in aged port and blue brie to finish.
