Carnival Inspiration deck plans

Carnival Inspiration (built in 1996 and scrapped in 2020, last refurbished in 2018 under the Fun Ship 2.0 program) was the sixth of eight Fantasy-class Carnival cruise ships, alongside Elation, Fantasy, Imagination, Paradise, and the “balcony ships” Ecstasy, Fascination, and Sensation.

The Carnival Inspiration cruise ship deck plan featured a total of 1,026 staterooms accommodating 2,052 passengers (max capacity 2,658), served by 920 crew members. The vessel had 13 decks (10 accessible to passengers, 5 with cabins), 12 lounges and bars, 3 swimming pools, 6 outdoor Jacuzzis (large whirlpools), and 14 elevators.

Passenger cabins were distributed across decks and included 54 Suites, 564 Oceanview, and 408 Inside staterooms. Self-service launderettes (for passenger use) were available on all cabin decks and operated daily from 6:30 a.m. to midnight. Each launderette included 2–3 washers, 2–3 dryers, and 1 ironing board with iron. Usage was coin-operated only (Sail & Sign cards not accepted). Washers and dryers cost $3.25 per load, and detergent/water softener was available from vending machines at $1.50 per box. While in port, washing machines were unavailable (only dryers and irons could be used). Valet laundry service was available through the cabin steward, with wash-and-press prices ranging from $2 to $7.50 per item (dry cleaning was not offered).

Carnival Inspiration Deck Plan Changes – 2016 Refurbishment

During drydock refurbishment (January 18 – February 5, 2016) in Freeport, Bahamas, the following upgrades were made:

• (Lido Deck 10) Guy’s Burger Joint was added — a complimentary poolside dining venue serving handcrafted burgers and fresh-cut fries.
• (Lido Deck 10) BlueIguana Cantina was introduced — a complimentary Mexican eatery offering fresh-made burritos and tacos with homemade tortillas, a salsa bar, and a variety of toppings. The BlueIguana Tequila Bar was also added, serving Mexican-themed frozen drinks and beers.
• (Promenade Deck 9) Alchemy Bar was added — a “cocktail pharmacy”-style lounge with professional mixologists crafting made-to-order drinks. Also on this deck, RedFrog Rum Bar was introduced, serving frozen drinks, beers, and Carnival’s signature ThirstyFrog Red draft beer.
• (Promenade Deck 9) Cherry On Top was opened — a bulk candy shop that also sold Carnival-branded apparel, gifts, and toys.
• (Verandah Deck 11) The former Camp Carnival kids' complex was redesigned and transformed into Camp Ocean. Additionally, the Carnival WaterWorks aquapark was added, featuring a Splash Zone, two mini racing slides for kids, and a 300 ft (91 m) long Twister Waterslide.

Various technical upgrades were implemented, including the addition of shoreside power capabilities. Routine maintenance included hull coating renewal. The crew area also underwent renovations during the three-week drydock.

The ship entered drydock for the last time in 2018 (November 2–15).
