Princess Cruises announced its new deployment plans for the United States featuring a return to homeport cruising in Galveston TX starting in December, and San Diego CA starting in September 2022.

The cruise company is planning a return to service in Australia with its Coral Princess commencing in June following indications authorities are more comfortable with the return to service in the region.

  • Return to Galveston TX / Ruby Princess. After 6 years, Princess Cruises returns to homeport cruising from Texas. Its Ruby Princess ship will sail from December 2022 to April 2023, on cruises from Galveston ranging in length from 5 to 11 days, visiting destinations in the Western Caribbean. The liner will also cruise through the Panama Canal on a couple of 16-day, ocean-to-ocean transits between Galveston-San Francisco. Sailings will be on sale on April 7.
  • Cruises from San Diego CA / Diamond Princess. Between September 2022-February 2023, cruising in California expands with the return to San Diego. Diamond Princess is joining the fleet of west coast-based liners with new itineraries ranging from 5 to 16 days and visiting ports along the California Coast, Mexican Riviera, and the Hawaiian Islands. In addition, the liner will sail a 20-day roundtrip voyage from San Diego to Central America in November 2022. Sailings will be on sale on March 24.
  • New San Francisco homeported ship / Royal Princess. Royal Princess is moving to San Francisco CA for the West Coast 2022-2023 cruise season, with roundtrip sailings to Mexico, Hawaii, and the California Coast. Arriving in September, after completing her Alaska season, the ship will initially sail from San Francisco together with Ruby Princess. In December, Ruby Princess relocates to Galveston and Royal Princess is expected to become the official hometown cruise ship of San Francisco for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season. Sailings will be on sale on April 7.
  • Return to cruising in Australia / Coral Princess. Coral Princess is due to return to service in June with roundtrip Brisbane itineraries ranging from 3 to 12-days and calling to destinations in Queensland & New South Wales. In August, the ship will position to Sydney and depart on a 12-day voyage visiting Queensland and the Conflict Islands in PNG, before resuming the Australia & New Zealand program for the 2022-2023 season. Majestic Princess will sail roundtrip out of Sydney on a new Queensland cruise in February 2023 at the end of her published season. Sailings will be on sale on March 23.
