CCL's ship Carnival Jubilee to boast 2 new sea-themed zones

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's newest ship - Carnival Jubilee, will debut later this year and introduce two new ocean-themed areas, The Shores and Currents.

Currents will cover decks six and seven and feature six large LED windows and a wave-shaped LED ceiling to create various settings for guests to enjoy at the new venues in the zone. These venues include the octopus-themed bar, Dr.Inks Ph.D, which will offer color-changing cocktails, jellyfish, and layered shots accompanied by live music. Additionally, The Golden Mermaid, a lounge serving cocktails inspired by precious gemstones and metals made with edible glitter, will feature a live band playing on stage while guests drink before or after dinner.

Carnival Jubilee's Emeril's Bistro 717 is a creole cuisine restaurant created by Carnival's top chef Emeril Lagasse. The restaurant is named after the ship's hull number and will offer a range of seafood, raw bar, and creole cuisine. For breakfast, it will serve shrimp and grits, poached eggs, and sweet beignets. Seafood dishes such as creole boiled shrimp, fresh oysters, and lobster will be served during lunch and dinner, as well as dishes from the state of Louisiana. The restaurant also boasts LED windows and ceiling array, creating an underwater dining experience.

The Shores, located on deck eight, will be designed with seaside elements such as piers, boardwalks, and beaches in mind. The area will have a three-deck-high art installation in the form of a fish school rising from deck six to eight, connecting The Shores with Currents below. The boardwalk will have a Ferris wheel-inspired ceiling and include both indoor and outdoor casual seating areas.

Food options at The Shores include pizza at Coastal Slive, sandwiches or hotdogs at Beach Buns, and drinks at Marina Bar with nautical decor and indoor or outdoor lounge seating. Rudi's Seagrill and Cucina del Capitano will also be located in the area.
