Costa Cruises has announced a new itinerary program exclusively dedicated to India. The announcement took place in Mumbai and was attended by important figures such as Sarbananda Sonowal (Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways) and representatives from Costa and the Italian Consulate in Mumbai.

The ship for this program - Costa Serena, is Italy-flagged and will expand Costa's Asian deployment after operating voyages in Thailand, Taiwan and Korea. Costa Serena's India schedule includes 23 sailings (from November 4th, 2023, to January 1st, 2024) and has been developed in collaboration with Lotus Aero Enterprises (Costa's General Sales Agent in India).

These cruises will exclusively visit domestic destinations, allowing Indian guests to explore some of the country's most beautiful locations from a unique perspective. The itineraries will range from 2 to 5 days and will include stops in Mumbai, Cochin, Goa (Mormugao), and, for the first time, the picturesque Lakshadweep archipelago known for its white beaches and stunning coral reef.

Costa Serena (2007-built by Fincantieri) will provide a memorable experience for guests. The 114000-GT-ton ship has max capacity 3780 passengers. With a wide range of international-style experiences, the onboard offerings will also incorporate local touches, with tailored gastronomy and entertainment to suit the preferences of Indian guests.

Featuring 1,500 cabins, including 505 with private balconies, and 14 passenger decks, Costa Serena provides numerous amenities for guests to enjoy. These include a wellness center and gym with a sea view, a beauty salon, a theater, Indian and international cuisine restaurants, bars, four swimming pools (two with self-propelled glass roofs), a shopping area, and a kids' club for children and teenagers.

Costa Serena sailings in India cater to both families and couples, offering an excellent opportunity to celebrate Diwali together. These cruises are also suitable for wedding ceremonies, group trips, and corporate incentive travel, as the ship provides reserved areas and services for such events.
