Copenhagen Denmark-based company Albatros Expeditions/fleet (specializing in polar cruisetours) announced the arrival of its newest fleetmate - Ocean Albatros, in Tromso Norway.
The cutting-edge newbuild is under charter from SunStone Ships Inc (shipowner) and starts for Albatros Expeditions an inaugural Arctic season, with voyages to Svalbard (Arctic Europe), Iceland and Greenland.
Soren Rasmussen (Albatros Expeditions' Founder and Chairman) was among the first to board the ship for the pre-cruise journey from Tromso to Longyearbyen/Spitsbergen Island, where she welcomed the guests for the maiden voyage that left on June 15th.
The arrival of Ocean Albatros and the sistership Ocean Victory (2021-built) signifies a new era of sustainability and environmental conservation for Albatros Expeditions.
