On the night of Sunday, July 9th, MS River Discovery II suffered an engine failure, resulting in an unscheduled stop at Chiciu, Romania.
Passengers on the Titan tour were redirected to a day trip to Bucharest instead of their intended visit to the Danube Delta. Upon their return, they were informed that the tour would be prematurely discontinued, and arrangements were being made for flights back to the UK on Tuesday, July 11th.
By 13:30 on Tuesday, all passengers had disembarked, and the boat (owned by Vantage Deluxe Travel) was reported to be en route to a drydock for repairs.
Subsequent tours are anticipated to be canceled as a result.
