On January 11, 2024, the Port of Seattle (Washington USA) disclosed the extension of its Port Allies Against Human Trafficking (PAAHT) commitment, now including Crystal Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, Princess Cruises, CCL-Carnival Cruise Line, RCG-Royal Caribbean Group, and The Center for Wooden Boats.

Initiated in 2023, the PAAHT pledge initially involved airline and tenant partners at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Additionally, the Port is introducing a new resource for human trafficking victims, facilitating the reporting of their situation, awareness of their rights, and access to assistance.

To enhance visibility and accessibility, trafficking awareness signage and messaging at both SEA Airport and Port of Seattle maritime facilities will feature a QR code. This code, developed by survivor-led Twentyfour-Seven Inc., serves as a public information source and aids human trafficking victims in reporting their situation to authorities while understanding their rights.

Carnival Corporation expressed pride in its North America-based subsidiaries (Holland America, Princess, Carnival, and Seabourn) for aligning with the Port's pledge. This alignment is consistent with the company's comprehensive policies and procedures aimed at combatting human trafficking.
