Princess Cruises has officially taken delivery of Sun Princess - a new vessel built by Fincantieri's yard in Monfalcone Italy.

With a volume of 175,500 GT-tons and max capacity 4300 passengers, the new Sun Princess stands as a pinnacle of luxury and elegance, representing the cruise brand's finest offering in the lineage of Love Boat vessels.

Boasting a wide range of thrilling entertainment options and activities, along with exquisitely appointed staterooms and suites spanning various categories, this ship promises an unparalleled experience. Featuring the largest number of balconies of any Princess ship, guests can bask in the Mediterranean and Caribbean sunshine while enjoying the clear waters from the comfort of their quarters. The Dome, drawing inspiration from the scenic terraces of Santorini, serves as a tranquil retreat, while the Arena! represents a cutting-edge evolution in Princess Theater design, incorporating the latest technological advancements.

To ensure an exceptional vacation experience, the vessel requires additional technical work while docked at the Monfalcone shipyard. Consequently, the company has made the difficult decision to cancel the voyage scheduled for February 18th. The maiden voyage of the Sun Princess will now commence on February 28th from Rome.

Guests who had reservations for the February 18 voyage will receive a full refund of the cruise fare and any pre-purchased onboard services, along with a 50% future cruise credit (FCC) applicable to a future Princess voyage. Additionally, the cruise brand is offering financial reimbursement for certain travel expenses incurred by guests who have already arrived for their sailing or who have yet to commence their travels, including applicable flight change fees.
