Port Nanaimo on Vancouver Island (BC Canada) commenced its 2025 cruise season with the arrival of MS Europa 2, an ultra-luxury vessel operated by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises (Germany).
The luxurious vessel docked at Nanaimo’s cruise terminal on Monday, April 21st.
The 2013-built MS Europa 2 accommodates approximately 500 guests in 251 staterooms, all being suite-class accommodations and each with a step-out balcony.
MS Europa 2's call marks the first of 4 scheduled cruise ship visits to Nanaimo this year, contributing to the city's ongoing efforts to position itself as a boutique port of call within the Pacific Northwest.
The vessel is currently engaged in an 18-day round-trip itinerary between Los Angeles and Vancouver. Ports of call on this voyage include Victoria, Seattle, Astoria, Eureka, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Vancouver.
MS Europa 2 arrived in Nanaimo from Victoria at 08:00 a.m. and departed for Vancouver at 06:00 p.m., providing passengers a full day ashore to visit local sites including the Old City Quarter, the Bastion, and the waterfront promenade.
