CCL-Carnival Cruise Line commemorates its 15th year of homeport operations in Seattle (Washington USA) with the deployment of Carnival Luminosa for the 2025 Alaska cruise season. This milestone underscores the company's sustained commitment to the Pacific Northwest and its strategic role in facilitating access to Alaskan itineraries.
Carnival Luminosa, having transitioned from Costa Cruises in 2022, will commence a series of 7-day roundtrip voyages from Seattle beginning May 1, 2025, through September 11, 2025. The ship's itinerary includes scenic cruising through Tracy Arm Fjord and port calls in Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Alaska, as well as Victoria, British Columbia.
Prior to her Alaska deployment, Carnival Luminosa is scheduled for a 29-day transpacific voyage departing Brisbane, Australia, on April 3, 2025. This journey encompasses visits to Okinawa, Hiroshima, Tokyo, Hakodate, and Kushiro in Japan, concluding with stops in Anchorage, Juneau, and Ketchikan, Alaska, before arriving in Seattle.
In alignment with environmental initiatives, Carnival Luminosa is undergoing modifications to enable shore power connectivity while docked in Seattle. This adaptation is part of Carnival Cruise Line's broader sustainability efforts to reduce emissions and environmental impact in port cities.
The 2025 Alaska season also features Carnival Spirit, offering 21 week-long sailings from Seattle, with itineraries similar to those of Carnival Luminosa. Additionally, Carnival Spirit will operate an 8-day cruise on May 5, 2025, incorporating a visit to Icy Strait Point.
Carnival Cruise Line's continued presence in Seattle and expansion of Alaska itineraries reflect the company's dedication to providing diverse cruising options and enhancing the guest experience in the region.
