CCL's Carnival Firenze to reposition with extended itineraries for 2027

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has opened reservations for a new series of 2027 voyages aboard the Carnival Firenze. This initiative coincides with the line's plan to reposition the vessel, which markets the "Carnival Fun Italian Style" experience, to the east coast of the USA.

The company's president, Christine Duffy, remarked that the Carnival Firenze is a beautiful ship and that the decision to bring her east presents an ideal opportunity to offer guests sailings to culture-rich destinations. She noted that the newly announced South America journeys are particularly noteworthy, even among the line's existing Carnival Journeys program, which combines their signature atmosphere with longer, more comprehensive itineraries.

The 2027 schedule will commence with three extended Carnival Journeys voyages across South America. In early January of that year, the vessel will depart Long Beach on a 15-day transit to San Antonio (Santiago), Chile, calling at Acapulco, Mexico; Manta, Ecuador; and Callao (Lima), Peru, which includes an Equator crossing. A subsequent 14-day journey in mid-January will sail from Santiago, Chile, to Buenos Aires, Argentina, featuring scenic cruising through the Darwin Channel, the Chilean Fjords, and around Cape Horn, with port calls in Ushuaia and Puerto Madryn, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay. A final 16-day voyage in early February will depart Buenos Aires for Miami, featuring stops in Brazil during the famous Brazilian Carnival, including Rio de Janeiro and Maceio. This sailing will also include an Equator crossing, the potential for viewing an annular solar eclipse at sea, and calls at the Caribbean islands of Grenada, Martinique, and St. Maarten.

Following these extended journeys, Carnival Firenze will be temporarily homeported in Miami (February through May 2027) to operate Caribbean itineraries ranging from 4 to 13 days. These will include shorter Bahamian getaways and longer voyages to the Eastern, Western, and Southern Caribbean. Among the visiting ports are Cozumel, Grand Cayman, San Juan, St. Thomas, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, and Barbados.

Following the Miami season, the vessel is scheduled to reposition to NYC New York for the summer of 2027.

More itineraries for Firenze and the rest of the CCL fleet will be announced as part of the full 2027-2028 schedule in the coming weeks.
