Aqua Expeditions (fleet) will commence voyages to Svalbard and the broader Arctic Circle beginning June 2026, expanding the operational remit of its ice-rated superyacht Aqua Lares (fka Legend, 1974-built).

The vessel (IMO 7367835, MMSI 538071436) will follow a season in East Africa, during which it will ply waters in the Seychelles, Aldabra Atoll, Zanzibar, and Tanzania.

Aqua Lares is certified Ice Class 1B and is constructed with an ice-strengthened hull. She will sail from June through September, offering both private charter and individual cabin bookings for up to 30 guests.

The Arctic itineraries will last between 5 and 14 nights. They will traverse remote routes, including the Svalbard Archipelago, the Lofoten Islands, Tromso, and additional high-latitude locales. Wildlife viewing — polar bears, migratory whales, Arctic foxes — will be part of the expedition, along with visits to historic whaling stations and seabird nesting cliffs.

The ship’s layout spans 5 decks, with 15 cabins (including three Owner’s Suites), and lounges, dining areas, a wellness section with sauna and indoor-/outdoor Jacuzzis. The 1:1 crew-to-passenger ratio will be maintained, and activities will include twice-daily small-group excursions by tender boats, on foot, or via polar plunges.

Bookings, itineraries, rates, and departure dates are expected to be released on October 15th, 2025.
