Celestyal has closed its strongest Mediterranean and Adriatic season to date, reporting a 4% rise in passenger numbers and a 10% increase in revenue compared with 2024.

The Greek company operated from April through November, deploying Celestyal Journey on 10 “Heavenly Greece, Italy & Croatia” cruises and 22 “Idyllic Greece” sailings, each offering 7 ports in 7 nights. Celestyal Discovery completed 69 departures of the 3- and 4-night “Iconic Greek Islands” program.

A notable development this year was Celestyal Discovery’s introduction of a locally produced marine biofuel blend, making it the first cruise vessel in Greek waters to operate on this fuel and reducing CO₂ emissions by ~1/5th (21%).

Both ships are now preparing to reposition to the Arabian Gulf for the winter season. Company leadership stated that 2025 has given the brand another period of robust performance, marked by itinerary expansion, fleet upgrades and progress in sustainability. They indicated that demand and revenue across Mediterranean programmes reached new highs and expressed confidence in the upcoming shift to Gulf operations, describing the region as an increasingly prominent winter travel destination.

Celestyal’s Arabian Gulf season begins on December 6th, 2025, when Celestyal Journey will depart on a voyage timed to coincide with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The ship will then operate a 7-night “Desert Days” itinerary from Doha, calling at Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, with two full days and an overnight call in Dubai.

Celestyal Discovery will follow on December 12th, 2025, for its first season in the region, introducing the new 3-, 4- and 7-night “Iconic Arabia” cruises. Sailing roundtrip from Abu Dhabi, the programme includes calls at Doha, Khasab, Dubai, Sir Bani Yas Island and first-time visits to Ras Al Khaimah.
