Queen Mary 2 arrived in Singapore following a 6-day passage from Hong Kong and ports in Vietnam as part of her 2026 World Voyage. The vessel continues to serve as the flagship of Cunard and remains the only purpose-built ocean liner still in regular service, best known for her scheduled transatlantic crossings between Southampton and New York.

The ship’s global itinerary forms part of a long-duration sailing that calls at ports across the Americas, Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe. The programme includes more than 30 destinations worldwide and several overnight port stays, allowing extended time ashore in major cities including Singapore.

During the vessel’s overnight call on March 27th, guests sailing the full world voyage attended a shoreside gala held at the Roselle–Simpor Ballroom within the Marina Bay Sands. More than 900 passengers participated in the formal event, which formed part of the programme of special gatherings traditionally arranged for those completing the full circumnavigation.

Prior to reaching Singapore, the voyage had already marked several notable milestones. In January the liner completed her first transit of the Panama Canal following the expansion of the waterway, passing beneath the Bridge of the Americas during the passage. The itinerary also included a long-awaited return to Los Angeles after a gap of 17 years, as well as a meeting with the historic ocean liner RMS Queen Mary, marking the first reunion between the two vessels in two decades.

Further calls were made along the Pacific coast of North America before the ship crossed the ocean to the South Pacific, visiting ports including San Francisco, Auckland and Sydney. In Sydney a literary project titled A Letter from Australia to the World was unveiled by author Anna Funder as part of the cultural programme associated with the voyage.

According to Cunard president Katie McAlister, the 2026 world sailing was designed to combine historic maritime moments with curated guest experiences ashore, reflecting the line’s heritage while offering extended global exploration for passengers.

Following her departure from Singapore, the liner is scheduled to continue on a 57-night passage toward Southampton. The next sector includes a 16-night leg to Durban and Cape Town, with intermediate calls at Port Klang in Malaysia and Port Louis in Mauritius. After an overnight stay in Cape Town, the ship is due to sail northward along the Atlantic coast, calling at Walvis Bay, Dakar, Tenerife and Cádiz before returning to Southampton at the end of April.

Upon completing the world voyage, Queen Mary 2 is scheduled to resume her regular programme of transatlantic crossings between Southampton and New York for the remainder of the year.
