Celebrity Cruises has announced its 2028–2029 deployment, with an expanded European programme alongside itineraries in Alaska, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, New England, South America and Antarctica. The programme is built around longer seasons, additional ports and a greater concentration of Edge Series ships in Europe.
Four Edge Series vessels — Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Apex — are scheduled to operate in Europe. The deployment will also see Celebrity Beyond return to the region for the first time since 2023, while Celebrity Infinity continues with a year-round European programme. Celebrity's published schedules confirm deployments across a number of these regions through 2028.
Celebrity Beyond will operate 7- to 14-night cruises from Southampton to Norway, Iceland and Scandinavia. Among the longer itineraries are 14-night voyages combining Icelandic ports including Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri and Seydisfjordur with calls in the Norwegian fjords at Geiranger, Alesund, Flam, Nordfjordeid and Bergen.
The ship will also return to Europe with additions to its onboard product, including the Bora Mediterranean restaurant and the Celebrity Pool Club. Two new food and beverage concepts, Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol, are scheduled to debut aboard Celebrity Beyond in November 2026.
Celebrity Apex will operate 12-night Scandinavian itineraries visiting Oslo, Skagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Helsinki and Copenhagen. The ship will also introduce new British Isles voyages covering Scotland, Ireland and England, including Celebrity Cruises' first scheduled call in Galway.
In the Mediterranean, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Eclipse will operate 7- to 11-night cruises covering destinations in Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Greece and Turkey. Celebrity Constellation will concentrate on Italy and Croatia, while the 2028 programme includes a return to Bari after more than a decade. Celebrity Infinity will also expand its European deployment, including overnight calls in Alexandria and shoulder-season itineraries from Athens and Barcelona. Current Celebrity schedules show Celebrity Infinity operating European voyages into 2028.
Alaska will be served by three ships in 2028. Celebrity Edge will return for another season, while Celebrity Equinox will make its first Alaska deployment with 7-night open-jaw cruises between Vancouver and Seward. Celebrity Millennium will offer round-trip voyages from Vancouver. Selected cruises will be combined with land programmes incorporating Anchorage, Talkeetna and Denali.
Celebrity Equinox will also introduce round-trip Hawaii cruises from Los Angeles, providing a warmer-weather alternative to its Alaska deployment.
Australia and New Zealand remain part of the programme, with Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice scheduled to operate 23 sailings from Sydney and Auckland. The itineraries range from short 4-night cruises to 14-night voyages and include destinations across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Celebrity's published itinerary data also shows Celebrity Edge operating Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific voyages during the 2028 season.
Asia will see Celebrity Solstice undertake its first full Japan season, operating from April through October 2028. The programme includes Tokyo, Kyoto, Aomori and Okinawa, with selected itineraries timed around major seasonal events. Celebrity Millennium will complement the programme with spring and autumn cruises, while both ships will operate additional voyages in Southeast Asia.
The Asian winter programme covers Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and China, with overnight stays planned in destinations including Bangkok, Phuket, Benoa, Hanoi, Hong Kong and Penang. An overnight in Hong Kong on Celebrity Millennium around New Year's Eve will extend into 2029.
South America and Antarctica will form another major component of the deployment. Celebrity Equinox will operate 12- to 16-night itineraries covering Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil, with selected voyages extending into Antarctic waters. The programme includes destinations such as Ushuaia, Puerto Madryn, Punta del Este, Valparaiso and Rio de Janeiro, as well as Antarctic destinations including Paradise Bay and Elephant Island. Celebrity is already marketing Antarctic and South American voyages aboard Celebrity Equinox for the 2027–2028 season.
The extended South American programme will include calls around Cape Horn and Tierra del Fuego, together with opportunities to visit penguin colonies and other wildlife areas. Overnight stays in Valparaiso and Buenos Aires are intended to provide additional time ashore, while holiday departures will include sailings into Antarctica around the New Year period.
In North America, Celebrity Summit will operate 7-night Bermuda cruises from Cape Liberty in May 2028, with two overnight stays on the island. During September and October, the ship will move to Boston for 12-night Canada and New England voyages featuring destinations along the Atlantic coast and an overnight stay in Quebec City.
Celebrity Cruises president Laura Hodges Bethge said the new deployment was designed to provide more opportunities for passengers to visit established destinations as well as less frequently visited ports, while maintaining the line's emphasis on onboard service and destination-focused itineraries.
