Port of Galveston Finalizes Agreement with Disney Cruise Line

The Port of Galveston announced that it had finalized a new agreement with Disney Cruise Line which is extending preferential berthing agreement rights for an additional ten years with an option to renew for a couple of additional 5-year periods effective November 1, 2018.

The agreement outlines plans for a shared cruise ship terminal that is due to accommodate a vessel equal to or bigger than Disney Magic/Disney Wonder class of ships.

Additionally, it's projected that over the first 5 years of the potential twenty-year agreement, Disney Cruise Line will nearly double its voyages. The cruise line has orders on the books for 3 new cruise ships.
