Fincantieri and Princess Cruises announced today, March 27, the signing of the final contracts for the building of 2 next-generation 175,000 GT cruise ships, that will be the largest vessels ever constructed so far in Italy, with deliveries in Monfalcone in late 2023 and spring 2025.

The cruise ships will each accommodate around 4300 guests and will be based on next-generation platform design, being the first Princess ships to be dual-fuel powered primarily by LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas). LNG is the most environmentally friendly advanced fuel technology of the marine industry and the world’s cleanest fossil fuel, that will significantly reduce marine gasoil usage and air emissions.
