VIDEO: Spectrum of the Seas Boasts New Digital Experiences

RCI-Royal Caribbean’s newest cruise liner - Spectrum of the Seas - boasts several innovative digital experiences, from virtual reality trampolining to reality games and digital room locks. Spectrum OTS is company's first Quantum Ultra-Class vessel, which debuted in China in June 2019.

Attractions onboard include the Sky Pad virtual reality (VR) bungee trampoline experience where passengers can wear VR headsets for 3 new games, including Bass Bouncer, Jump Rally, and Sugar Leap. Vacationers can opt out of wearing a headset to enjoy ocean views as they bounce.

The vessel also has a glow-in-the-dark laser tag course (for the adventure game "Battle for Planet Z"), as well as the karaoke venue Star Moment. Expedition Two70 offers four immersive AR games, while indoor sports and entertainment complex SeaPlex offers activities like archery, ball games, and fencing.

Royal Caribbean developed 3 new grand-show productions exclusively for Spectrum OTS: The Effectors, The Silk Road, and Showgirl! Past. Present. Future, each with innovative effects and implementing top-notch media technologies.

When it comes to cutting-edge tech, the ship has a variety of digital experiences, including the Royal Caribbean mobile app, digital room keys, and automated stateroom controls. Other shipboard amenities include large outdoor whirlpools and swimming pools, surfing simulator, rock-climbing wall, outdoor theater /giant LED screen for movies.
