Cruise Ship Cancels Scheduled Call in Falmouth Due to Storms

A Phoenix Reisen-owned cruise liner canceled a planned visit to Falmouth UK due to bad weather. Weather and flood warnings were in effect for the UK as strong winds and heavy rains were expected Friday night and Saturday.

MS Amadea ship was scheduled to arrive in Falmouth England on Saturday, November 2. The vessel was due to make its 3rd of 4 planned visits to Falmouth in season 2019, following the arrivals on May 28 and September 21.

Within the past 6 weeks, the port calls of MS Albatros (September 25) and Viking Sky (September 29) were also cancelled due to weather.

It's one of 25 scheduled to either anchor or dock at the seaside town from April through November, with almost 20,000 cruise passengers expected to visit the port town and the county.
