Carnival Corporation announced it will launch 4 newbuild passenger liners in 2020 across 4 of its global brands. The vessels are as follows:
- Iona - the first new ship for P&O Cruises UK since the introduction of Britannia (2015)
- Enchanted Princess - a Princess Cruises' MedallionClass ship
- Mardi Gras - named after Carnival Cruise Line’s first ship (TSS Mardi Gras)
- Costa Firenze - Costa Cruises’ second ship designed specifically for China's ship cruising market.
Carnival Corporation claims that Iona and Mardi Gras will be the 3rd and 4th of its 11 next-generation vessels joining the fleet through 2025 that can be powered by LNG.
