Abu Dhabi Port Closed for Cruise Ships

Port Abu Dhabi (UAE) was closed for cruise ships. The blockage applies to both the port and the offshore island of Sir Bani Yas. The affected liners (largest vessels) include Mein Schiff 5, Jewel of the Seas and Costa Diadema. All three were not allowed to enter and had to sail to DubaiAIDAprima was still in Abu Dhabi (as of Wednesday afternoon) and is also scheduled to sail to Dubai. 

TUI Cruises said Mein Schiff 5 will also spend Thursday at sea. On Friday, the ship is planned to dock in Dubai and offer shore trips to Abu Dhabi by land.

Jewel OTS is in Dubai and its further course is unclear. Previously, RCI-Royal Caribbean cancelled the call in Muscat Oman. After Oman also closed its port for cruise ships, 2 suspected Coronavirus cases on board have not been confirmed.
