Brittany Ferries Cancels Sailings

Brittany Ferries cancelled a number of its services due to the "global coronavirus pandemic". Crossings from Portsmouth and Plymouth to Spain and France on the cruiseferry Pont Aven were cancelled until April. The lines Plymouth-Santander Spain and Portsmouth-Le Havre France will also be temporarily suspended.

The company said the deadly virus had forced it to "consolidate" services while responding to "government advice".

Crossings between Plymouth-Roscoff and Portsmouth-Santander not operated by the Pont Aven ship remain unaffected. A number of routes between Ireland, Spain, and France were also cancelled.

Services are operating normally between Portsmouth-Caen, Portsmouth-St Malo/Bilbao, and Poole-Cherbourg.
