Singapore Air Force medevacs a Crown Princess cruise ship crew

The RSAF-Singapore Air Force helicopter medevaced a male crew suffering from a life-threatening medical condition from a Princess Cruises ship on Friday, January 1.

According to a video on RSAF's Facebook page, its Rescue 10 team had been activated to retrieve the man from Crown Princess ship.

The RSAF crew, who were on a Super Puma helicopter, used a winch to retrieve the patient. His condition was stabilized on the way to SGH-Singapore General Hospital. The helicopter landed on a grass patch at Outram's hospital.

According to RSAF, though the helicopter crew met with bad weather conditions en route to SGH, the medical evacuation was conducted successfully.
