Virgin Voyages’ ship Scarlet Lady to sail first official cruise on August 6 from Portsmouth UK

Virgin Voyages’ ship Scarlet Lady is scheduled to sail her first official cruise on August 6 from Portsmouth UK (England).

The ship will be berthed at the port for her 6 sailings around the United Kingdom this summer.

The first of 4 newbuilds for Virgin Voyages, Scarlet Lady boasts 17 decks and 1408 staterooms (including 78x ‘Rockstar Quarters’), with 86% of all passenger accommodations having a private step-out balcony.

Only UK residents will be able to sail on the series of voyages, with all passengers required to be fully vaccinated against COVID at least 2 weeks prior to departure.

Virgin Voyages will meet crew vaccination requirements set out by the UK government in the Covid Mitigation Framework. The company is working with port authorities, local health departments, the UK Chamber of Shipping, and the Department of Transportation, on the implementation of its health protocols.

Following the UK season, Scarlet Lady has scheduled a Transatlantic crossing to PortMiami Florida - her homeport for a series of Caribbean voyages.

Virgin fleet's second vessel - Valiant Lady, debuts from Miami in November 2021.

Virgin fleet's third vessel - Resilient Lady, debuts from Piraeus-Athens (Greece) in August 2022.
