RCI-Royal Caribbean returns to Western Mediterranean with Harmony of the Seas

The world's largest cruise liner Harmony of the Seas set sail from homeport Barcelona Spain on August 15 marking RCI-Royal Caribbean’s return to the Mediterranean.

Joining Jewel OTS and Anthem OTS in European vacations, Harmony OTS rings in the next milestone in the line’s global return to operation. 

The Oasis-Plus Class ship embarked with passengers on the first of a series of 7-night Western Med roundtrips. From August through October, the vessel will call at Palma de Mallorca (Majorca Island, Balearic Spain) prior to sailing to Italy, where guests can explore art and culture in Florence (from Livorno), see world-renowned landmarks in Rome City (from Civitavecchia) and experience the beauty of Naples with its skyline defined by Mount Vesuvius. Passengers can also choose to begin their trip in Italy and sail roundtrip from Civitavecchia-Rome.

On Harmony OTS, vacationers have a bold lineup of experiences. The 17-deck ship combines the distinct 7-neighborhood concept, featuring a lineup of restaurants, adrenaline-fueled activities, unparalleled original entertainment across the stage, water, ice, and air, and the latest technology.

Highlights feature a 10-story plunge down the Ultimate Abyss - the tallest slide at sea; the high-flying zip line 9 decks above the Boardwalk neighborhood; the FlowRider surf simulators; 20,000+ real plants at the Central Park neighborhood; deck-defying high diving, aerialists, and much more at the AquaTheater.
