Dingle (officially Daingean Ui Chuis) is an Atlantic cruise port and town in Ireland's County Kerry (Gaeltacht region), located approx 30 mi (50 km) southwest of Tralee (the county town). Dingle has a population of around 2,000. The local economy is based on tourism, commercial fishing (also canning), and agriculture.
Port Dingle is a major fishing port since the mid-19th century. The town is served only by bus lines (no trains) linking to Tralee, Killarney, and Kerry Airport, as well as to several villages on Dingle Peninsula. The closest train station is in Tralee.
As cruise port, Dingle Ireland is visited by mainly smaller-sized luxury ships and megayachts from the fleets of premium companies like Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Lindblad Expeditions.
