Dormans is a Marne River (Seine River) cruise port and town in France's Marne department (Grand Est region), with population around 3,000. Marne River (an eastern tributary of Seine River) has length approx 514 km (319 mi) and flows through four French departments (Haute-Marne, Marne, Seine-et-Marne, Val-de-Marne).
Dormans is approx 40 km (25 mi) from Reims and approx 25 km (16 mi) from Chateau Thierry. National Road RN 3 runs through the town linking to A4 Autoroute. Town's train station serves multiple daily scheduled SNCF-operated TGV (high-speed) trains. The best-known tourist attractions include the Castle of Dormans, churches, WW1 (1914-1918) war cemetery with a memorial chapel dedicated to the two Battles of the Marne - in 1914 (September 6-12) and in 1918 (July 15 - August 6).
