Dover TN is a Cumberland River(Ohio River) cruise port and town in Tennessee USA (Stewart County) with population around 1,500. The town is approx 110 km (67 mi) northwest of Nashville TN (state's capital city).
Town's economy is largely based on tourism. West of downtown is located Fort Donelson (Confederacy-built fortress) part of Donelson National Battlefield Park (historic site of the American Civil War / 1861-65). Another best-known tourist attraction is the Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge (along Lake Barkley). The 36-km2 park is on Cumberland River and located east of Dover TN. Approx 10 km (6 mi) from downtown and between the lakes Barkley and Kentucky is located Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (managed by US Forest Service).
As cruise port, Dover TN is included in the regular schedule of USA's largest river cruise company - ACL (American Cruise Lines).
