  Port Map

Isle of Tiree is the westernmost of Scotland's Inner Hebrides Islands. Tiree Island is located southwest of Coll. It covers a total area of approx 30 mi2 (78 km2) and has population around 700.

Tiree Island's main industries are crofting (small-scale food production), sea fishing and tourism. Just like Colonsay, Tiree is among the UK's top beach vacation travel destinations. This is mainly due to their relatively higher total number of sunshine hours (in the period late spring - early summer) in comparison to the UK's average. Tiree is also a popular windsurfing destination, sometimes called "UK's Hawaii".

Tiree island is served by the Ro-Ro ferry ship Clansman operating dedicated and regularly scheduled car and passenger ferry services to the Inner Hebrides Islands Barra, Coll, Colonsay and Tiree. Departures are roundtrip from Oban (resort town in Argyll and Bute, mainland Scotland).

CalMac Ferries operate a regular service to Scarinish, with daily crossing from Oban (approx 4 hours travel time). The itinerary's ports of call are Arinagour (Coll Island) and once a week to Castlebay (Barra island). Winter services are more limited.

Tiree Airport (at Crossapol) provides daily domestic flights to Glasgow. Hebridean Air Services operate domestic flights Coll Island and Oban. Tiree Island's roads are all single-track, with passing places.
